Adobe's Perpetual Job Posting Mystery Ever feel like you're stuck in a never-ending loop? Well, that’s what Adobe’s job listings seem to be doing—especially their Performance Media Manager role. No joke, this position has been hanging around like it’s trying to set a world record for “Longest Job Post Ever.” A 1-year 6-month contract in sunny San Francisco, but where are all the takers? The responsibilities are all too familiar—supporting campaigns, running acquisition strategies, optimizing media, blah blah... you get it. But here’s the kicker—#Adobe seems to have a revolving door for this role. Either it’s incredibly hard to fill, or something’s off behind the scenes. Could it be that the perfect candidate just doesn’t exist? Or maybe it's time for Adobe to ask themselves why this position is perpetually open? Maybe, just maybe, it's not the candidates at all. 🤔 #jobsearch #digitalmarketing #marketingjobs #mediajobs #adobemystery #hiremealready #Adobe

Let me tell you... So many of my clients have come to us this summer with these "we just have to get this done" type of project that they've been pushing off for months. These tedious time-consuming initiatives that will help the company grow or ease the team's workload, but the task itself seems daunting or blatantly something "no one has time for". 😅 So they've come to Robert Half - to hire a temp, contractor, or specialized consultant to actually get it done...NOW. My response: EASY! 🤝 💡 Here's what big projects companies are prioritizing this summer: - Ensuring their website is ADA compliant - Upgrading or selecting a new CRM or ERP system - Data cleanup for their CRM to help sales team - Creating new Video Content (video is King) - Company Headshots / Event Photography - Updating outdated marketing materials - Exploring projects within AR/VR or generative AI We have qualified consultants who have helped companies complete all of these projects. For most, Q3 and Q4 are some of the busiest times of the year. Why wait if you know you have something that just needs to get done ASAP? Call me! #digitaltransformation #marketingprojects #CRMconsultants #digitalconsultants #technologyconsultants #ERPconsultants #designhelp #generativeAIconsultant #videographer #photographer #adacompliance

I'm someone who's been hired to do creative work and has been the one hiring others to do creative work. Here's what I've realized: The idea of creative professionals being "paid to do what they love" is a general overview. Is that a sentence you'd use if you were hiring a lawyer? An accountant? Your doctor? Skills such as video editing, graphic design, web design, photography- these are built on skills and knowledge like any other. The attached idea that anything design or art is done out of love or passion is... uninformed and incomplete. Creative experts are paid for their work. The hiring side didn't do them any favors, and I can almost assure you they didn't "love" it. Did they enjoy it? Maybe. The same goes for the accountant, lawyer doctor, and you. Like everything else, it's part of business. #creative #graphicdesign #adobe #hiring #creativeprofessional #marketing #design #art

Are we asking too much of designers? 🤔 As I browse job listings lately, I’m struck by how often “designer” roles include responsibilities like video editing, social media management, content strategy, and even digital marketing. It’s as if one person is expected to be a full creative department! Here’s the reality: design, video editing, digital marketing, and content strategy are each unique disciplines, each requiring time, training, and dedicated focus to master. Combining all these roles into one might seem efficient on paper, but it risks overloading individuals and spreading skills too thin. And let’s face it, the level of creativity and innovation we all want demands focus, not just juggling multiple jobs. Instead, I’d love to see companies embrace specialization, creating roles that allow each professional to do what they do best. Building cross-functional teams, where designers, marketers, editors, and strategists collaborate, can lead to stronger, more innovative results—while respecting each team member's expertise. Let’s strive for job expectations that encourage creative depth, not just breadth. After all, the best work comes when people have the space to hone their craft. What’s your take? Are you seeing similar expectations in your industry? #copied #repost #DesignThinking #CreativeTeams #HiringTrends #Design #Hiring #remote #Designers #Videoeditors #graphicdesigners #xlovedesigner #ownerofyessmess
