We wrapped up TASA Midwinter in Austin with a renewed sense of purpose and some fantastic new connections. We believe every second matters. That’s why we built a solution to unite hospitals, schools, and emergency services in one cohesive system—so the right voices could speak up, and the right hands could act. We discussed how real-time communication and data sharing drastically cuts response times and gives everyone greater clarity. Even better, we offer it all at a fraction of the usual cost—about one-sixth to half of what others charge for solutions that only address a piece of the problem. We’re leaving Austin today, grateful for the connections we made and eager to keep the momentum going. We’ll be back next year. #TASAMidwinter #SafetyFirst #SchoolSafety #EmergencyResponse #AngelProtection

We are back, baby! And we're stoked to invite you all to the FOURTH season of Racial Justice Weavings. These weekly gatherings are for outdoor education and recreation professionals from any school, company, or organization, in any role. First-timers and old-timers all welcome and encouraged! If you are seeking support for: processing your summer or fall season with a racial justice lens, racial justice work you're doing in your own family or workplace, or your personal liberation practice, join us. We're here to do it in community. Logistics: - Wednesday evenings on Zoom, 6-8pm MST - September 4 - December 11, 2024 (with a few breaks in there) - Sliding scale pricing and we will not let cost be a barrier to anyone participating. In September 2020, we (Steph and Ella) began hosting a weekly space for our fellow backpacking and climbing instructors to talk about white supremacy, racism, and racial justice in outdoor education. The Racial Justice Weavings - "Weavings" - were named to place this gathering within its context: a long history and future of racial justice advocacy in outdoor spaces and education. The goal was to foster antiracist culture in our outdoor leadership school through collective learning and relationship-building. This relational, culture-shifting work is slow but it is powerful. We have learned and grown a lot together in the last four years, and we’re eager to keep building and deepening with the next cohort. Message info@greenwoodandduff.com to sign up.

✨ Tables Are Being Set for Another Incredible Year! ✨ It's FANTASTIC being able to join The Longer Tables team coming BACK and getting ready for another year of breaking barriers, creating belonging, and transforming communities—one shared meal at a time. Last year, we gathered around community tables, shared moments at Table Together where tables were beautifully scattered across Colorado on the same night, and stretched a record-breaking 528-foot table across Civic Center Park in Denver. But that was just the beginning… 🌟 This year, we’re going bigger. MUCH bigger!!! 🌟 The Mile Long Table is coming to Denver in July 2025! 🚀 A full mile of connection, conversation, and community. Site selection is nearly complete, and we can’t wait to share where this historic gathering will take place! At Longer Tables, we believe in the simple yet powerful idea that sharing a meal creates belonging. In a world that feels more divided than ever, we’re here to reconnect—to set tables where all people, no matter their background or story, feel seen, heard, and valued. 🔥 Want to be part of something truly transformational? 🔥 Join us in building longer tables—not walls. Whether you want to volunteer, partner, or simply pull up a chair, we’d love to have you. 💛 📩 Get involved: https://lnkd.in/gHbENph2 🌎 Not in Colorado? That’s OK! We’re setting tables nationwide—and beyond. Stay connected to bring a table to your city! #LongerTables #MileLongTable #CommunityMatters #humanconnection #Belonging #GatherTogether #BreakingBarriers #SharedMeals #Connection #StrongerTogether #FoodForThought #DenverEvents #NationwideEvents #GlobalEvents #JoinUs

New 'View from the Top' episode out now! Bill Lucci sits down with Tom Cheney, Executive Director of Advance Vermont, to talk about reshaping the way Vermonters approach education and career paths. Tom shares how his early experience working for the Speaker of the House sparked his passion for workforce development and how Advance Vermont is helping people navigate the many training and education options available. For too long, the belief has been that you either go to college or jump straight into the workforce, but Tom is working to change that narrative. From skilled trades to nursing and other specialized careers, there are countless opportunities that don’t require a four-year degree. Advance Vermont is making it easier for people to find the right path, connect with resources, and gain the skills Vermont employers need. Tune in now to hear Tom’s insights and learn more about how Vermont is expanding access to career opportunities! 🎧 linktr.ee/thehubcoworks

Looking forward to this discussion!! Personally, I am ready to see us take the next step towards our collective professional maturity! Sneak peak 😉: My topic for CVA resertifiaction in the new year, is around the question “what is a volunteer administrator”. I think it’s time we expand our thinking into what our profession is capable of, past direct support to volunteers.
Thank you Wisconsin Volunteer Coordinators Association for opening up this opportunity to everyone! Here's the plan: 1) Read "What do we need, more professional development or professional maturity?" by Rob Jackson and Erin Spink here: https://buff.ly/3xZhI0G 2) Join Rob LIVE with WVCA for a discussion on the article next Tuesday. Register here https://buff.ly/3Aub5ow This is open to everyone!
