https://lnkd.in/dPynVBzf As a developer who is not hyping up his AI startup, I can tell you that AI is definitely changing software development. Expertise is becoming democratized much in the same way that software has done to other fields. Traditionally, the greatest bottleneck in software development has been R&D. As chatbots improve and become democratized themselves, the new bottleneck will be creativity as it has become in other forms of media. Internet search made the "what" available at our fingertips. AI will make the "how" available to everyone. With the help of a couple popular AI tools, I have been able to write a video editing program that tracks moving objects and generates a cropped video around them. In C++, from scratch (almost, DearImGui). It took less than two weeks, and two years ago this would have not been possible (for me at least). The future of application development will be interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing what people come up with.

Day 03/07: Be A Better Developer With AI. Wait! This is not yet another series on AI tools. No, I'm not interested in the tools now. But, I am fascinated with the learning we get just by looking at how AI tools take up engineering tasks and get them done. So, in the next 7 days I will be sharing some learnings we should incorporate as a developer looking at AI to be better developers. To join me in this journey follow Mithun S Iterate and Improve. Think of your code like a first draft of a story. It’s not perfect right away. AI constantly refines the code it writes through iterations.
