Now that most kids are on break from school, it’s time for more fun in the sun ☀️ But more time outside can expose kids’ eyes to harmful ultraviolet (UV) light. So, what can parents do to protect against sun-related eye damage? Make sure kids wear a well-made pair of sunglasses 😎 Consider the following tips from the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins Medicine, when it comes to choosing the best pair:️ 1️⃣ Look for lenses that provide 99 to 100 percent protection from UVA and UVB or marked as having a UV400 rating. 2️⃣ Choose sunglasses that fit well, stay in place, and completely cover the skin around kids' eyes to minimize light that enters from the top, bottom, and sides of the lenses. 3️⃣ Sand and water are reflective surfaces that increase UV exposure. If you’re spending time on the beach or in the water this summer, consider buying sunglasses with polarized lenses. If you’re uncertain about the best sunglasses for your kids, be sure to contact your eye care professional 🕶 #NationalSunglassesDay #KidsHealth

The final part of my series on DAO Botox and achieving a Nefertiti look is here! The key to that elegant Nefertiti look is often in treating the neck. While the neck is frequently overlooked in anti-aging routines, addressing it alongside the face is essential to ensure a cohesive, youthful appearance. As I always say, you want your decades to match! Treating the platysmal bands can soften necklace lines, or “tech neck” lines, for a smoother, more refined neck. Depending on your individual needs, you can combine this with DAO Botox, chin Botox, or jawline fillers to create a beautifully rejuvenated look. 🚨🧴 **Recall Alert: MCo Beauty's Lip Light Shine Gloss** 🚨 Ladies and gents, gather 'round for a tale of beauty innovation gone seriously wrong. MCo Beauty has are recalling their Lip Light Shine Gloss, and the reason? Well, it turns out our lip gloss didn't just promise a pout to envy—it also included a side of button battery hazards. 🙃 Yes, you read that right. This glossy marvel, available in oh-so-glamorous shades like Clear, Morocco, Striptease, Berry Pink, and Marshmallow, came equipped with a built-in LED light and mirror. Because who doesn’t need stage lighting for their lips, right? 💄✨ But here’s the kicker: the gloss contains button batteries that are apparently easier to access than a celebrity’s Instagram account. Imagine the excitement! You’re just trying to get your shine on and BAM—your toddler's playing with a battery, thinking it’s a tiny snack. 🍼🍬 In batches A23A07, A23A08, and A23A10, not only are these batteries a bit too accessible, but they also forgot to mention *they’re* even there! Because, you know, nothing says beauty like a surprise game of "Guess the Hidden Hazard". 🎉🕵️♂️ So, let’s pour one out for MCo Beauty and their ambitious attempt to combine cosmetics with DIY flashlight kits. Remember, folks: if your lip gloss requires a user manual and a battery warning, it might be time to go back to basics. 😂💋💡 Stay glossy, but battery-free! 💅🔋 #recalls #accc #buttonbatteries #retailindustry #buttonbatteries #ecommerce #marketplaces #salesandmarketing #productdesign #consumersafety #compliancematters #kidsafevic #beautyindustry https://lnkd.in/g2FkV2es

It's UV Eye Safety Month! As we enjoy the sunny days of July, remember that UV Eye Safety Month is the perfect time to focus on protecting your eyes from harmful ultraviolet rays. UV exposure can cause serious eye conditions like cataracts, macular degeneration, and photokeratitis. Here's your weekly reminder to take these simple steps to keep your eyes safe: 1. Wear Sunglasses: Choose sunglasses that block 100% of UVA and UVB rays. 2. Use a Wide-Brimmed Hat: This adds an extra layer of protection against UV rays. 3. Limit Sun Exposure: Try to stay indoors during peak UV hours (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.). 4. Be Mindful of Reflections: Surfaces like water, sand, and snow can reflect UV rays, increasing exposure. Make eye protection a daily habit. For more eye care tips and solutions. #UVEyeSafetyMonth #VisionDR #EyeHealth #EyeCare

The “Snatched Jawline” Trend—Is It Really Worth It? I see a lot of people requesting dramatic jawline contouring, but here’s the reality: overloading that area can lead to short-lived results and sometimes uneven contours once the filler settles. At PureMed Aesthetics, I prioritise a more balanced approach—enhancing your natural features in a way that stands the test of time. In this short video, I break down why extreme jaw filler might not be the answer and how subtle, medically guided enhancements can help you look and feel your best without compromising on safety or longevity.

Happy National Sunscreen Day! At Paula’s Choice, sun protection is a cornerstone of our skin care philosophy—without daily SPF application, nothing else we put on our skin really matters. That’s how damaging UV rays are for skin! Of course, for something we need to apply every single day to our face, it’s important to find a formula that you love. Thank goodness sunscreen has come such a long way since its thick & pasty days. We have a ton of options for facial SPFs (& a new one on the way!) for every skin type & sunscreen ingredient preference, in an array of textures. Learn more about them here: https://lnkd.in/gWPZ2_t9
