As the former Chief Engineer at Los Alamos National Laboratory, I have dedicated my career to harnessing the power of nuclear energy. Recently, I made the exciting decision to join Fuse, a company at the forefront of fusion energy innovation and defense. For decades, my work and passion for nuclear weapons have played a vital role in maintaining global security and strategic deterrence. The U.S. nuclear arsenal serves as a continuous safeguard, preventing conflict every single day. While proliferation remains a critical concern, the deterrence it provides is indispensable. Now, I’m embarking on a new chapter at Fuse, shifting my focus to the atom’s potential for sustainable fusion energy generation. It’s an honor to transition from one national security mission to another—moving from maintaining peace through nuclear deterrence to pioneering a clean, sustainable future powered by fusion energy. At its core, energy security is national security—it drives economic stability, fuels technological advancement, and cements U.S. leadership on the global stage. Next week, Fuse will make history as we fire our pulsed power driver, TITAN, for the first time across 14 stages. You can watch the event live at www.f.energy/livestream. Whether TITAN fires successfully or we encounter challenges, we are taking on one of humanity’s greatest technological frontiers—laying the foundation for a fusion-powered future. At Fuse, we’re always looking for exceptional talent. If this mission inspires you, reach out—let’s build a cleaner, more secure world together.
