Municipal drinking water and wastewater systems are vulnerable targets for cyber-attacks, which can cause severe disruptions and contamination risks. To safeguard these critical infrastructures, Idaho is championing Cyber-Informed Engineering (CIE) in grant proposals for new systems or upgrades. Developed at Idaho National Laboratory, CIE is gaining recognition for enhancing proposal scores and ensuring robust cybersecurity measures.
