Since I started working as a self-employed consultant, coach and facilitator back in the begining of 2022, I haven't really stopped for a proper holiday where I can disconnect from it all. 🛫 ⛱ 🎨📵 I know all about the importance of rest and of disconnecting to better connect afterwards. A very wise italian friend once told me the reason why Ferraris are the fastest cars... its because they have breaks.... Working for yourself can be scary at first, it takes all the safety nets that you are used to in the corporate world and it doesn't pay you a salary when you are sleeping, learning a new skill or going on a holiday... But its exactly when that safety net goes that we grow, that we learn more about ourselves and our capabilities, that we grow confident on our own skills and that we look for continuously improving and I confirm that this is not just a cliché... a growth mindset has never made more sense! So, in the next couple of weeks I will be in Vietnam 🌏 with a friend, we will be doing yoga 🧘♀️ and personal development work 📖 and I am so looking forward to it. Again pushing me out of my confort zone, challenging myself so I can become a better person, a better friend, a better business partner, a better consultant, coach and facilitator! ✨ If you´re as curious about these coming weeks in Vietnam as I am, get in touch and i will tell you all about it! If you want to know more about my work, how can I support you or your team and organization, get in touch and i will get back to you when I am back! 🛬 #scope2grow #pointsofview #wellbeing #selfdevelopment #coaching

Driving Forward: Reflecting on the Road We Take 🚙💨 This weekend, I took a road trip to Kuala Lumpur to support Aiden at Break2Prove, where he competed fiercely with fellow breakers. I also made time to catch up with my wider team, mostly based in KL. But the true highlight? Surprisingly, it was the drive home. 280 kilometers of open road, no street lamps, speed traps to keep me sharp, and the nostalgia of singing cantopop and golden oldies. It reminded me of younger days driving up mountains to snowboard 🏂 —those roads taught me resilience, focus, and the thrill of the journey. It’s the feeling of true freedom, but in complete control at all times, that I am addicted to. Sigh. Sometimes, our past experiences shape how we navigate today’s roads. They’re a reminder that no matter where we’ve been, we’re in the driver’s seat of our future. Every twist, turn, and memory can steer us toward a more fulfilling path ahead. Here’s to embracing all our journeys—both the planned and the unexpected—and to driving ourselves forward with purpose. 🚀 A huge thank you to Samuel Loke for trusting me with your SUV. It made me realise that I really miss driving. Below from my IG story, in hindsight, should have taken a photo of myself but I am a stickler about phone use while driving so I guess this is me being authentic 📲 #Leadership #MindfulJourney #DriveYourFuture #GrowthMindset #Nostalgia #Resilience #PersonalGrowth #LifeLessons #Inspiration #PurposeDriven #LifeJourney #ForwardMomentum

“Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.” – Pelé Having just returned from an inspiring trip to Italy, I'm reminded of how vital it is to explore new cultures and environments. Each journey offers more than just a break from routine—it provides a fresh perspective on the world and expands our thinking in ways we might not have imagined. Italian culture, with its rich history, deeply rooted values, and tradition of master craftsmanship, offers endless inspiration, especially for those of us in the automotive industry. Their commitment to aesthetics, meticulous attention to detail, and dedication to quality are lessons we can all take to heart. Travel also teaches us flexibility and curiosity—traits that are invaluable in any field, but particularly in the fast-evolving world of automotive innovation. Returning to work, I find these experiences have not only given me a fresh perspective but also sparked new ideas and opportunities. Exploring the world isn’t just about recharging; it's an active investment in our professional growth. The more we discover, the broader our thinking becomes, leading to meaningful personal and professional development. Let’s remember that our journey of learning and growth is ongoing. Never underestimate the power of expanding your horizons, even if it means stepping outside your comfort zone. #Inspiration #CulturalGrowth #AutoIndustry #PersonalDevelopment #TravelAndLearn

I’m alive. Actually. Old habits die hard, so here’s my EOY review: • 7 months • 15 countries • 49 locations • 30,000+ km overland odyssey • 1 dream fulfilled At the start of the year, I had a wild idea: embark on a slow, solo #overland adventure around the world. A journey that wouldn’t just alarm my mom (a low bar, admittedly), but truly challenge me. In June, I left the Netherlands. Since then, I’ve only taken two flights — Sofia to Yerevan and Yerevan to Chelyabinsk. The rest I covered by trains, buses, cars, and ferries. Today, I arrived in Singapore. The fact that I’ve traveled all the way from my hometown in Russia to Singapore by land feels surreal. When I started, I didn’t have a slightest idea how I’d do it. Just endless curiosity and a stubborn belief: “I can do this.” Plot twist, that was enough. #Lessons reinforced: We don’t need to have all the qualifications to take on a challenging project or start something absolutely new and foreign — whether in life or business. Learn by doing. Repeat, refine, rest, repeat. Stay determined but flexible. Don’t overthink. Work on your fears, not your excuses. And don’t forget to have fun along the way. I still have five more months of travel ahead. The overland part is ending in Singapore, but I’ll continue exploring the world and myself in it in the darest ways possible. Kinda curious what other obvious yet profound lessons will surface. After all, my backpacks are too small for souvenirs, so lessons are all I can bring back with me. #yearinreview

🚀 Ever thought traveling solo was just for adventurers? Think again. It’s a masterclass in adaptability. 🌍 Two years ago, I booked a one-way ticket alone for the first time. Exciting? Yes. Terrifying? Double yes. 🙈 But what began as an uneasy leap turned into my most transformative experience yet. 💡 Lesson one: Challenges sharpen skills. Navigating foreign cities, overcoming language barriers, and even lost baggage taught me to think on my feet. Adaptability became second nature. 🌟 Lesson two: Growth happens outside comfort zones. When you rely solely on yourself, confidence skyrockets. I embraced solitude, leaned into decision-making, and ended up discovering new strengths. Here are my go-to tips for embracing solo travel and building adaptability: 👉 Start small: Take day trips or weekend getaways alone to break the ice. 👉 Do your homework: Research local culture, safety, and customs for smoother navigation. 👉 Plan, but stay flexible: Be open to detours or unexpected opportunities. 👉 Trust yourself: You’re capable of handling more than you realize. 🙌 What about you? Have you ever traveled solo or stepped out of your comfort zone in a unique way? Let me know your experience.

My Wild Ride at On-Arrival Training: From Comfort Zones to Mountain Trails! What a whirlwind! 🌪️ Five days of diving deep into the volunteer journey—packed with new skills, challenges, and unforgettable moments. 💥 One session that blew my mind? Stress management and the 3 zones: 🛋️ Comfort Zone: Safe and cozy, but not where the magic happens. 🚀 Stretch Zone: This is where the adventure begins—growth, learning, and a bit of sweat. 😱 Panic Zone: Let’s avoid this one. Stress overload! But the real highlight? Our team-planned trip to the Tatras! 🏞️ We tackled critical questions: why, what, and how? The planning was smooth, but the hike? Not so much. 😂 Some wandered off, others wanted to quit early—but remembering our "why" kept us together, laughing through the struggles. 💪 Evenings were all about unwinding—games, nature, and bonding. 🎮🌲 We turned strangers into friends with deep talks that lasted late into the night. 🫶 And then, the infamous culture shock iceberg 🧊 hit us—but understanding the hidden layers of culture (values, beliefs) helped us manage those overwhelming moments. A huge shout-out to NIVAM and our awesome trainers, Juraj and Zsuzsanna! 🙌 This experience gave me skills for life, new friendships, and a deeper understanding of myself—and Slovakia. 🇸🇰 Here's to more adventures! 🎉

Small achievements also matter! Two to three times a year, I challenge myself to climb the Christoffelberg, the highest point (372 meter) on the island of Curaçao. I won’t distract your reading with my ascending and descending times, but this time around, while descending, I noticed something new. Despite climbing this hill often, I hadn’t realized how many challenging parts I’d already overcome on the way up. Of course the word ‘challenging’ is subjective….., but stay with me. It made me think: I tend to tackle personal and work goals on 'automatic pilot’, always focusing on the next challenge, the next result or the next goal. The same as climbing this hill with the sole purpose to overcome each steep climb and getting to the top in as little time as possible. But in doing so, I often overlook the small achievements and skills gained along the way. Celebrating small achievements help create and retain momentum that propels us towards our bigger goals, which is why recognizing them is of crucial value. These small wins, no matter their size, also reflect our continuous growth as individuals and professionals. I’m working on being more mindful of these small achievements both for myself as for my team. How do you keep track of your small achievements on the path to your goals? #smallachievementsmatter #mindful #growth #celebratingachievements
