All the forces of nature are their way; man avails himself of them, or catches a ride as best as he can. If he keeps his seat, he prospers; if he misses his hold and folds, he is crushed.  Peace up!

In my opinion, and for my experience, I think there is some kind of smart "trick" and people in OpenAI want you to share more data, interacting more with the chat, correcting it like a friend. I think they do that on purpose. It's my experience with it.

A good comparison of two tech giants, reflection on concerns and raising questions. From my perspective, Big and Basic questions lie elsewhere. Increasing speed of technology at reduced cost is not anything new. It also does not demand use of higher human faculties. Happening at exponential rate, we will see many sharp ups & downs in AI era as compared to dot.com era. No surprise , if in another 3 months, Deepseek will be dwarfed by another DeepShift from nowhere. Is it good for "planet" and "people" to take every technology to "exponential speed" ? How does human society benefit from this astronomical speed ? We have yet to use more than 10% of MS-Word features. At "what cost" (not only monetary) , do we create "free time" and "more money" from these technologies or their 'n' number of features or from their 'speed' or from their 'comfort' or 'convenience' ? Where do we end up using the "free time" created or "extra money" earned ? More faster we get, more we fall short of meeting targets. In dot.com era 45 hours work week was considered enough, now we are asking for 90 hours work week in Digital era. It seems "Not only are we losing something more valuable", but we are also "Not benefiting from so-called value addition".

DeepSeek's reasoning is pretty cool. The comparison with OpenAI’s model is definitely impressive.

There are also some critical considerations around the EU AI Act. For example, Article 53 requires a sufficiently detailed summary of the training data used to train general-purpose AI models, such as DeepSeek. To my knowledge, this hasn’t been released. This may be an issue.
