Most VC's investment theories are purely Hegalian. It goes like this - "If you have a great theory who cares about reality" All of this can be visible when you look at their portfolios. Every second company is an antithesis of the first. That is precisely why the ideological messages of impact, vision, and culture are embedded in their thesis to create an illusory world of virtue-signaling when the fundamental of the business is simply a game of probability with other people's money using entrepreneurs as an instrument to achieve success. 2% commission and 20% on success is how things work in the VC ecosystem. Everything else is a theory of delusion. Today's real misery is the founders' drooling for their money rather than focusing on their vision and mission. Funding is a means to an end. For some founders, it is the only end and their only "why" of starting a venture.

Greater Returns: Investors often earn more than founders through stock appreciation and dividends. 4. Increased Control: Investors hold more influence as the company grows, becoming key players in wealth creation. ➡️Conclusion: Investor Power - Investors accumulate more wealth and control than entrepreneurs, benefiting from long-term strategies and stock value growth.

Why VCs are not investing in your startup, even though you have a good business One of the biggest problems is that founders/owners' and VCs' definitions of a "good" business differ. Founders/owners usually prefer a rather capital-light growing business with a good profitability potential. Conversely, VCs prefer an exponentially growing business that is targeting a huge (global) market and has the potential to become the next unicorn in a relatively short time frame. In other words, they prefer scale over stability (and even over profitability). To understand why we need to understand the math behind VC funds: A fund usually invests in a limited number of companies, say 20. Most will fail, and some will not return much capital to the investor. The usual rule of thumb is that one of those 20 companies needs to be able to "return the whole fund." This means it should cover the losses of all 19 other companies plus provide a reasonable return on the invested capital. Hence, each of those 20 investments needs to be able to be 100x during the fund's lifetime (a maximum of 10 years, usually less). That is why you need to show that you have the potential to deliver precisely that to be considered an investment. Otherwise, look for other ways to grow your business.

Some type of investment can be quite a lazy and boring activity and still be most rewarding: you just put money away and wait....But there is a new phenomenon that has shortened the wait! Following up on my previous post about the USD...Our clients who invested money into a particular type five years ago in USD, saw their money grow by 51.4% and at the same time, the USD has appreciated by 33% (against MRU); and 1.514 x 1.33 = 2!! There are very few "exciting" business ventures/ start-ups/ property investment that can achieve the same result in five years.
