In our recent AMA session, embedded Linux expert Iain Menzies-Runciman addressed a common challenge faced by Yocto developers. One participant, @𝐉𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐫, 𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐞𝐝: "I want to provide a custom file. Like /etc/issue. However, I can't find any clear documentation on how to do this. I've tried multiple things including creating basefiles%.bbappend, and as well as a custom recipe to provide it. Either it's not copied or the image fails because base_files thinks I am already providing the file. Why is this so hard?" -----------🐧----------- 🌟 Learning Milestone 🌟 Linux has been very important role when it comes any field where I wanted to go either embedded systems, IoT or Backend Development🐧 I have been avoiding it since last 4 months, I remained low in confidence that I might no do it, I used to think that I need to learn a lot get the basics right in Linux Finally I got a chance to get the basics right surprisingly from my University Professsor Prof Schüler where he want us to work on Linux thus he teaches us as well today I finally eligible to use Linux independently and now I wanted to apply the knowledge and solving the problems This was the only that I wanted to have to finally start solving problems #Linux #LearningJourney #DigitalSignalProcessing #TechnicalSkills #GrowthMindset #LinkedInLearning #EmbeddedSystems
