Mikhail Kokorich, participated in a dynamic panel at #FDDay in Paris yesterday. This discussion focused on the role #DefenseTech plays in shaping Europe's technological sovereignty. Mikhail, alongside other esteemed panelists from Preligens, Sopra Steria, Safran, Dassault Aviation, NAVAL GROUP, Airbus Group, MBDA, Nexter, Thales explored critical questions such as: - How can Europe accelerate innovation in DefenseTech without creating new dependencies? - What are the essential areas in DefenseTech where Europe needs to develop autonomy to ensure security? - How can public procurement play a role in driving innovation for Europe's defense goals? During the panel, Mikhail also emphasized that cost-effective technologies are enabling countries to maintain cutting-edge capabilities without the excessive costs that often accompany such developments. The amount of publicly-available information out there is astounding. It makes it exceptionally difficult for governments to do anything secretly.   The fact that a Russian Il-96-300PU aircraft, belonging to Russia’s Special Flight Squadron spent two days in the USA (New York and Washington, DC) indicates that there is some form of political discussions ongoing between the USA and Russia.   The Special Flight Squadron operates the Russian Presidential Fleet of aircraft, which indicates that the visitor was from a very high-level of the Russian government. Established in 1946, their mission is to showcase the capabilities of naval aviation, inspire public interest in the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps, and foster a culture of excellence among service members. Each year, millions gather to watch their high-speed, tightly coordinated maneuvers, which highlight the skill and discipline required by Navy and Marine pilots. The Blue Angels fly Boeing F/A-18 Super Hornets, sleek multirole fighter jets capable of speeds up to 1,190 miles per hour. Despite these staggering speeds, the team maintains formations with as little as 18 inches separating the wings of their aircraft. The precision required to maintain these tight formations demands hundreds of hours of practice, teamwork, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
