Ollie Watkins was rejected from a club as a kid for not concentrating enough. He failed twice to win a playoff final and gain promotion. The second left him in tears. He was still playing non-league football at 20. Many of his current England teammates were playing in the Premier League at that age! He didn’t make the England squad for Euro 2020. He got cut from the final England squad for the 2022 World Cup. Last night Ollie Watkins proved that we are all on our own journey. Struggle isn’t the opposite of success…it’s part of it. You are exactly where you’re supposed to be… Well done pal! 👏

Even when belief is forgotten and hope is lost, this example shows how to turn failure, rejection, or disappointment into success. Instill a positive mindset and belief. 🎥 Challenging Myself: Speed Filmmaking in Sheffield 🎥 Today, I set myself a challenge: how fast could I produce a complete video from start to finish? Starting at 15:30, I hit the streets of Sheffield, running around the city to capture as many shots as I could before the light faded. Time was tight, and I was racing against both the sunset and the clock to get the footage I needed. Filming wrapped up at 19:30, just 15 minutes before kickoff. My original goal was to finish the edit by kickoff, but I needed a bit more time. By halftime, I had a fully completed video and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. This challenge was about pushing my limits: working under pressure, adapting quickly, and making the most of the time and light available. Running through Sheffield reminded me how much energy and creativity filmmaking brings out in me. Farsley Celtic are having to play the majority of their home games a good 1.5hrs drive away in Buxton whilst they continually wait for a new pitch!! The majority of AwayDays we ever make are centred around showcasing that the actual match is the least important part of a weekend at the Football. The latest one ended up being incredibly different to this, when I first heard about the situation at Farsley Celtic (a non-league team 15 minutes from my team Leeds) I was intrigued... What we ended up uncovering was an absolute shambles of a situation and something that happens far too much in English Football. Video can be seen below.
