This week the Master Teacher Institute (MTI) convened 47 Uncommon humanities and STEM teachers and provided them with an experience tailored to support them in raising the ceiling for Uncommon and dramatically accelerating student learning. During this professional training teachers were able to: 🔹Transform teaching by being in a cohort of peers across all Uncommon that are working together to raise the bar. 🔹Set a new benchmark of educational excellence at Uncommon. Receive individualized feedback and support to take your teaching even higher. 🔹Collaborate in deeply meaningful ways with Uncommon colleagues across all regions, grade spans, and content areas. On #WorldSocialWorkDay and every day, we appreciate the social workers who support the community at Uncommon Schools. One of our amazing and dedicated staffers is Dr. Nadine Cenord, Social Worker at Uncommon Brownsville North Elementary. Dr. Cenord has gone above and beyond to support her students and community this year, including filling in for vacancies on her team while ensuring scholars receive uninterrupted support and services. Her dedication, compassion, and commitment to meeting the needs of our students are commendable. If you see Dr. Cenord (or any other Social Workers) in the halls of your scholar’s school, feel free to share your gratitude for the work they do - their support of our scholars is truly inspiring!
