  • THANKSGIVING! A day to indulge in an incredible amount of delicious food, enjoy the company of loved ones, relax, spend time with the people you love - and you don’t even have to give gifts! Whether your celebratory gathering includes watching the NFL or setting up winter decorations for the next big holiday, this Harvest Festival offers a lot for us to be thankful and grateful. Oh…and the menu….let's not overlook the menu. Thanksgiving feasts are always rich and traditional: turkey and stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, corn, sweet yams, pie, pie, pie and more pie and much, much more. And perhaps every American family either follows the well-known recipes for these dishes or passes down their unique culinary secrets from generation to generation. Talk to me - we would love to hear about your traditions. What are your favorites? Are they traditional or uniquely yours? Do you have any secret recipes you would like to share? FROM EVERYONE AT TAYLORS - WE WISH YOU ALL A HAPPY THANKSIVIING FILLED WITH ABUNDANCE AND BRIGHT MOMENTS.

  • Forty-two days later, recovery from Hurricane Helene – the deadliest hurricane to hit South Carolina - is still underway. We in Louisiana feel deeply for those in the path of Helene as our neighbors rebuild from the swath of destruction left across six states leaving residents without power, fuel, their homes, businesses, food and fresh water. We are humbly reminded of the strength and kindness we find in community.  Hurricane Helene made landfall on September 26th bringing destructive winds, flooding, tornadoes, and extensive damage to utility infrastructure and homes in South Carolina overnight and well into the following day. Taylors’ Emergency Response team was on the road on September 28th, onsite in South Carolina on the 29th, base camp setup and feeding Duke Energy workers three hours after arrival.

  • In a month marked by gathering for gratitude, we pause on Monday, to say thanks to our veterans. Originally called Armistice Day. When first celebrated as Armistice Day, the day marked the end of World War I, formally recognized on the “11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month” in 1918. In 1954, the holiday was changed to "Veterans Day" in order to account for all veterans in all wars. We stand united in respect and appreciation for you – our veterans.  We celebrate and honor your patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.

  • On Sunday, we celebrate the establishment of the United States Marine Corps. For the last 249 years, Marines have earned a reputation as the most disciplined and lethal warfighters in the world. Since 1775, this legacy of honor, courage and commitment passed on was paid for in sweat, blood and sacrifice. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARINE CORPS!
