"During Women’s History Month, we celebrate the vital contributions of women to all aspects of society. This year’s observance theme focuses on the strength and influence of women who have dedicated their lives to education, mentorship, and leadership—which describes hundreds of the professionals we are proud to call team members at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory." —Dr. Steven Ashby, Laboratory Director

Congratulations to the winners of the recent Pacific Northwest regional for the National Science Bowl! 🎉 👩🎓🏅 The Department of Energy created this competition in 1991 to encourage high school students to excel in math and science and to pursue careers in these fields. The regional champions will now head to Washington, D.C. for nationals. 👨🔬👷♀️ PNNL's Office of STEM Education and Workforce Development is proud to support the National Science Bowl as one of our lab's many efforts to ignite interest and build opportunities among the next generation of STEM experts. Hosted at Columbia Basin College, many of this year's judges and volunteers were PNNL staff.

We were proud to host guests from Washington State University, including welcoming Chris Riley-Tillman, Provost and Executive Vice President, for his first visit to PNNL. During the visit, we showcased some of our key facilities, including the Energy Sciences Center and the newly opened Grid Storage Launchpad. It was a great opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to ongoing collaborations and share our enthusiasm for working with WSU students. Looking forward to strengthening our partnership and advancing impactful research!
