Carina Cho joined the team in 2020, right at the start of the pandemic, and from day one, she has been a powerhouse. She has shown exceptional camaraderie, emotional intelligence, leadership skills, resilience, and a deep understanding of the evolving media landscape. This year, we’re doubling down on creators – especially those leading the way in innovative, thought-provoking content. As part of my campaign to highlight the Media Mobilize team and add faces to the emails (lol), I'd like to introduce Rebecca B., our Director of Creator Partnerships! Rebecca plays a crucial role in ensuring our creators have the support they need to succeed, while continuously building a strong inventory of creators for our brands. Her passion for helping creators thrive and her dedication to innovative solutions have made her an invaluable part of the Media Mobilize family. ⌛ How long have you been with Media Mobilize?  3.5 years (started Feb 2021) ✨ What is your favorite part about being on the team? We truly have an amazing team, and getting to work with this group of people every day is the best! We (almost) all work remote, yet I regularly laugh out loud at jokes that haven’t even been spoken out loud. If you had to describe your role in three emojis, what would they be? 👩🚒 firefighter/problem solver 🤝 handshake, building relationships 🤹♀️ juggler, handling a lot of things at once 📕 What is your favorite non-fictional book? I don’t generally read non-fiction, but I might have to say Soups, Salads, Sandwiches by Matty Matheson. A recipe book is non-fiction, right? 📅 What’s one app or tool you can’t live without? Google Calendar, in both work and personal life, is a total lifesaver. Between meetings, family members' birthdays, and events, I would not be anywhere I am supposed to be without it. 🎧🎵 What’s your go-to productivity hack for a busy day? Headphones with some acoustic mix playing, probably pop. It keeps me focused enough without being too distracted by a great song and just wanting to jam out. 📺 What’s one YouTube channel you think more people should know about? Ze Frank! Sabine Hossenfelder! Python Programmer! ⏰✈️ If you could time travel, would you go to the past or the future? This was hard to answer, but the past, I would love to experience what it might have been like pre-technology when life was a little simpler. 💡 What advice would you give your fellow marketers/ops? It is okay if you don’t know something or have the answer right away. Be honest, and then follow through to find the answer after the fact.

Danielle Ibrahim has been an integral part of our team as our Operations Team Lead, ensuring every campaign is handled with efficiency. Your dedication to consistently showing up and making sure our brands are happy with their processes means the world to us! ⌛How long have you been with Media Mobilize?  5 years! ✨ What is your favorite part about being on the team? Working with my awesome colleagues every day 🐕 🐱Do you have any pets? If so, what are their names?  Just a few! Jordan the dog - Judge, Littles, Otis & Meow the Cats - Gordo & Leo the Chinchillas 😺 If you could switch lives with any animal for a day, which would it be?  My cat Judge - he’s the only cat allowed outside and seems to live his very best life between roaming the neighborhood and coming home to eat and sleep. 🍂What’s your favorite season and why? It used to be fall as fall in New York/New England is gorgeous. However, after fall brings winter and winter is miserable. So my next favorite season is Spring - I highly enjoy watching all of my plants, trees and flowers begin to bloom every season and then carry on through late fall. 📚What’s the last book you read or your favorite book ever?  I’m currently reading “One Day” per a friend’s recommendation. I’ve been on a nonfiction reading kick for several years now and have decided to venture back over to the other side…. Which is much more fun! 🏖️What’s your dream vacation spot?  I’d be very happy with anywhere that has white sand and the ocean. A preferable temperature is the mid-eighties with a slight breeze. I could probably sit there indefinitely. 💡What is advice you’d give your fellow marketers and Operations?  Stay as proactive as possible!

I love getting to wear many hats, and continuously learning! 🤳What’s your favorite social media platform and why? Tie between Pinterest & Instagram - I haven’t really jumped into TikTok, so I love wasting time in instagram reels, and then getting my shopping & creativity fix on Pinterest. Do you have any pets? If so, what are their names? 🐶Selkie is our ~7-8yr old rescue pitbull, who as a stray I spent days trying to catch. Now she is our totally spoiled princess, and has gone completely soft over the past 5 years we’ve had her.  🎤 What’s your go-to karaoke song? 500 Miles by the Proclaimers 🍽️ If you could have dinner with any three people (dead or alive), who would they be? My late Grandmother, Kristin Wiig, and my Husband (alive). ⛰️What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend? I love to spend a Saturday off hiking somewhere in the mountains and/or doing house projects, and on Sunday’s I love to hit the gym and Farmers Market, then have a picnic in a park. 📚What non-fictional book recommendations would you give your peers?  My favorite nonfiction is Lab Girl by Hope Jahren. I consider myself a life-long learner and this book really fed my passion to get out and learn more about anything and everything. 🤔What is one advice you’d give a fellow marketer?   Let yourself be surprised; I am surprised all the time with a great performance from unexpected placements, unorthodox creatives, and trying new things. Getting into the nitty gritty numbers of Multivariate or A/B testing is a great time, but it's always great to remember to flex some creativity muscles and open up to being surprised! 

Executive Summary: Thanking Teammates and Fantastic Human Beings - Carina Cho 1/ At Context VC we have a number of initiatives/programs/projects we are working on and it increases every day. We have some projects we are working on that we think will be really valuable for the startup community that we’ll be able to share soon. The frequent line we use is that good work creates more work, or opportunity creates opportunity. This is a less fancy way of saying the flywheel effect whereby w small wins over time can create momentum that leads to sustained growth. 2/ Here are a few initiatives that we work on: ➡️ Investing and supporting great founders and startup teams. At Context Ventures, we primarily invest in military veteran founders at the preseed and seed stage (we also separately invest in fintech and consumer startups agnostic of founder background). More than 80% of our capital to date has gone into investing in military veteran founders. ➡️The Military Veteran Startup Conference (she helped organize the first one!) ➡️ DiverseVC Conference ➡️ Creator Conference (she’s helping to organize this with Helen as we speak) ➡️We attend at least an event a month (she’s attended a number of military veteran events as a civilian ally) if not an event a week and we host roughly one event a month too 3/ None of this is possible without the fantastic team at Context Ventures & Media Mobilize who help make this happen. Have passion for what you do and persevere. Find your people. There is so much strength in unity and having a solid team will only contribute to more success. Once you find your team however, understanding what motivates them is key.
