  • President's Message Dear Members, Maybe it's strangely optimistic coming from a lifelong Wisconsonite, but March to me feels like we are so close to warmer weather, outdoor adventures, and sunshine. (Please, no one share the 30 day weather outlook with me). Writing these messages and reflecting on the past few months also always brings a sense of pride in our travel community and chapter's accomplishments! In January, we hosted our Annual Conference and Silent Auction. I'm excited to share that we surpassed our goal and raised over $10,800! These funds will support scholarships, local Wisconsin charities, and educational content for our members. Our survey results from the conference showed that 96% of attendees felt the conference was worth the ROI. A big thank you to the Osthoff Resort for hosting us and providing such a beautiful venue! Later in the month, members of our leadership team attended the GBTA Leadership Summit in St. Louis, where we gained valuable insights and proudly represented Wisconsin as one of the top chapters. Just yesterday, I had the honor of representing GBTA-Wisconsin at the Hilton Garden Inn's Soiree. I shared what makes GBTA-Wisconsin so great with others in the industry. I look forward to growing our partnership with the travel community, including partners like Visit Milwaukee! Thank you to Anne Schneider, GBTA-WI Programs Chair and Director of Sales for the Hilton Garden Inn for the invite! Looking ahead to our future meetings (always on the second Wednesday of March, May, September and November)! Next week we will get the opportunity to meet at the beautiful Hyatt Regency. I'm also excited to share that we will be meeting at the Promega campus in Fitchburg in May. In October GBTA-Wisconsin will be hosting the CPC (Chapter President's Council) in at the Saint Kate Hotel in Milwaukee for the CPC quarterly meeting!  Each quarter, the CPC meets to discuss various topics to advance GBTA and the Chapter Network. This is a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase our great community and city. Sponsorship opportunities are available for vendors to showcase their brand and enhance our event. Pleas reach out to me if your company is interested in being a part of this event! Thank you for being a valued member of the GBTA-WI community. I look forward to seeing you soon! Warm regards, Alyssa Totoraitis Regional Travel Manager, Universities of Wisconsin President, GBTA-Wisconsin #gbtawisconsin #businesstravel
