The recent wildfires in the Los Angeles region have left many facing uncertainty and loss. In times like these, stepping up to show support—makes all the difference. Yesterday, pallets of Gaia Herbs, Gaia Herbs PRO, and Floradix USA products were sent to fire stations, relief centers, and community organizations across Winnetka, Malibu, Canoga Park, Reseda, Oxnard, Woodland Hills, and Granada Hills to help those impacted. More than 2,500 units of Mighty Lungs, Black Seed Oil, Immune Lozenges, Cough Syrup, Cordyceps PRO, and Respiratory Mushroom Blend are currently on their way to support firefighters, first responders, and families in need. Having experienced the aftermath of Hurricane Helene just a few months ago, we understand how critical it is to have resources that help with recovery. This is just a small way we can show up for those who have been affected, and we remain committed to continuing this support. To the brave firefighters and emergency responders on the front lines, and to every person working to rebuild—we are with you. If you’re looking for ways to help, please consider supporting local relief organizations such as: Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation – Supports 3,000+ firefighters and paramedics by funding equipment and tools to battle wildfires. Los Angeles Dream Center – based nonprofit currently operating an evacuation center for displaced families. Friends In Deed – A Pasadena-based organization providing shelter and essential services for those experiencing homelessness. American Red Cross – Provides food, shelter, and emergency medical care to fire victims while supporting first responders. #LAstrong #LACommunity #StrongerTogether

  • This Farm Friday, Abbie Dillon, our Farm Operations Assistant Manager, walks us through an essential step in preparing for the upcoming growing season: seed germination trials. By testing the viability of our seeds, we ensure that only the healthiest, most robust plants make it to our fields. This attention to detail is a key part of our commitment to quality and sustainable farming practices. We take great pride in nurturing plants from seed to supplement, ensuring every step is done with care and precision. 🌱 #HerbalWellness #GaiaHerbs #RegenerativeFarming #SeedtoSupplement #FarmFriday

As we find ourselves midway through January, many of us are focused on the importance of liver health after the holiday season. During the festivities, our liver works hard to process extra food, alcohol, and other toxins. A gentle way to support its recovery is through natural remedies like Milk Thistle Seed. Milk Thistle has been used for centuries to promote detoxification and to help protect liver cells.* Its active compound, silymarin, is renowned for its ability to support the liver’s natural cleansing processes, making it a valuable ally after a season of indulgence. Our Ginger Sparkler Mocktail is made with our Certified Organic, Milk Thistle Seed Drops. This refreshing drink offers a plant-powered boost, supporting liver function while providing a delicious, alcohol-free alternative for those continuing with Dry January. Recipe: 2-3 slices of blood orange 1-inch fresh ginger, peeled and sliced ½ tsp fresh lemon juice 2-3 droppers of Gaia Herbs Milk Thistle Seed Drops ½ cup sparkling water 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional) Ice cubes Garnish with blood orange wheel, ginger slice, and fresh thyme sprig Directions: Muddle blood orange slices and ginger to release their juices. Add fresh lemon juice and Gaia’s Milk Thistle Seed Drops. Optional: Add honey or maple syrup for natural sweetness. Fill a glass with ice, pour the mixture over it, and top with sparkling water. Garnish with blood orange, ginger, and thyme for a festive touch. Support your liver health this January and beyond. https://lnkd.in/epsHMxZe #LiverHealth #Detox #MilkThistle #GaiaHerbs #DryJanuary #Wellness #HerbalSupport #PlantBased

We are incredibly saddened by the devastating wildfires surrounding Los Angeles. At Gaia Herbs, we believe in the power of community and care. Having recently experienced the devastating impacts of Hurricane Helene, our hearts go out to all affected by the wildfires surrounding Los Angeles - we see you, we stand with you, and we are committed to sharing the same love and compassion shown to us. We are currently coordinating shipments of Mighty Lungs and other Immune Supporting supplements to our extended team in the region for delivery to shelters, first responders, and practitioners on the frontlines. If you know of local organizations mobilized to receive support, please drop them below as we are actively working to send resources where they are most in need. If you are looking for other direct ways to support the relief efforts, the following organizations come highly recommended: Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation – Supports 3,000+ firefighters and paramedics by funding equipment and tools to battle wildfires.  Los Angeles Dream Center Los Angeles-based nonprofit currently operating an evacuation center for displaced families.  Friends In Deed – A Pasadena-based organization providing shelter and essential services for those experiencing homelessness. • It’s Farm Friday on Friday the 13th! Meet Laura Collins, Vegetable Program Lead, sharing how we let moon signs and the biodynamic calendar guide our planting.   From root crops during the new moon to avoiding "killing times" in Aries or Leo, every phase has its role in farming harmony. Even on a day known for superstitions, we trust in nature’s rhythms to guide us—because a little cosmic alignment never hurt anyone!

  • Happy World Soil Day! Zach West, our Farm Manager, is here to share an important lesson: Dirt and soil aren’t the same! While dirt is lifeless, soil is teeming with life—from microorganisms like bacteria and fungi to earthworms and beetles. This vibrant soil food web brings benefits like nutrient cycling, carbon cycling, and water retention, ensuring our plants are healthier and happier. Healthy soil grows thriving plants for the finest herbal supplements on earth.  #worldsoilday #loyaltothesoil

  • Happy Thanksgiving from the Gaian family. This Thanksgiving, we're particularly thankful for the abundance of our Farm and the people who steward it. Our Farm and Farm Crew are the heart of our company and provide so much more than herbs. The Farm is a home away from home for our seasonal farm crew, who steward the earth and bring our herbs in to harvest. Our Farm grows thousands of pounds of organic produce, which our staff is able to enjoy with their loved ones. What isn't taken home is donated to nonprofits throughout our community, and we're honored to say that this season we have donated more than 10,500 lbs of produce. We're grateful to be able to return the love and support to our Western North Carolina family by donating organic produce to local organizations working tirelessly to continue to support recovery efforts. • Two weeks ago, Julia Weaver – Global Sourcing Lead – represented Gaia Herbs at the first international Sustainable Herbs Initiative Learning Journey in Nicaragua. On the trip, Julia explored the work of Doselva PBC, our close partner from whom we source our certified organic and Fair For Life turmeric. Julia recounted her experience on the learning journey, exploring small farms in rural Nicaragua, and seeing our turmeric growing where it grows best: “I’m just now settling back in at home after being in Nicaragua. It was a powerful and invigorating experience that I was fortunate to share with 17 friends and colleagues representing different corners of the industry. This trip was an exploration into the work of Doselva, a company built on trust and reciprocity. We visited with small farmers in rural Nicaragua in Doselva’s network, who showed us the power of diversification. Turmeric was growing (and thriving) in incredibly diverse agroforestry systems below coffee, cacao, avocados, native fruit trees, and alongside cardamom, ginger, and more. I got to shake hands with the farmers who are growing turmeric for Gaia Herbs. Inspired doesn’t even begin to explain what I felt. Our journey was also centered around place, as we began by learning the indigenous history of the land we were visiting, sitting with uncomfortable truths but connecting over our shared vision of the future. “At one point driving back from the mountains of northern Nicaragua, I was asked, ‘if you could redesign the industry from scratch, what would that look like?’ We talked about this concept of ‘lifting the veil,’ the shield between consumers and the industry. If the veil were lifted, and consumers could see what it takes to produce just one bottle of turmeric or one cup of coffee, and all the lives and landscapes tied to their production, what shift would occur? If we could facilitate more connection to the source, what change might happen? How might awareness lead to transformation? “I see SHI as a catalyst for change, providing the heart and spirit, and a space for co-creation, collaboration, and community with tangible action. This journey to Nicaragua felt deeper than Appalachia, building on concepts that we laid as a foundation in 2023 and explored throughout the year based on 4.0 thinking and deep listening. I believe the deeper experience was ultimately facilitated by our immersion in place. I felt such a profound sense of respect and gratitude for the place and the people I interacted with over the course of the week, inside our group and out. Now that I’ve had some time to process it, I feel energized and ready to get to work.” Learn more about the origins and impact of this partnership in this 2022 article from the Sustainable Herbs Initiative: https://lnkd.in/egAR7Ty4 Photo by Ian Brabbin, Organic Herb Trading, Nate Brennan, and Julia Weaver.
