  • On Friday, Hariharan Kolam and Tina Paikeday joined a webinar hosted by the Berkeley Haas Center for Equity, Gender & Leadership at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business to share the results of a pioneering AI-driven pilot experiment. The experiment tested the hypothesis that AI could mitigate bias rather than perpetuate it. Here are the key highlights from the event: ➡️ Pilot Results: Shared the context, methodology, and results from a board diversity search with and without AI.Pilot. ➡️ Observations: Panelists discussed the context of AI and board diversity and the trade-offs between solutions. ➡️ Innovation: Leaders shared opportunities to innovate with AI through research, direct experimentation, or partnerships. ➡️ Roundtable: Executives discussed insights, benefits, challenges, and opportunities for talent innovation through AI. The roundtable of executives, independent directors, and academic scholars underscored a larger call to action: to test, refine, and scale these AI innovations in real-world talent practices.
