At 5 AM on Wednesday, February 19th, a Midland Fire crew arrived at a house fire, initially believing no one was inside. That changed when bystanders ran up, saying a two-month-old baby was still inside. Through heavy smoke and limited visibility, the firefighter located the crib, carried the baby out, and got them to safety. Moments later, the baby took a breath and began to cry—a huge relief to everyone on scene. For their quick thinking and teamwork, we proudly present the 'Be the Energy' Leadership Award to Trey Eichorst, Arnol Carrasco, Mark Escandon, Christopher Crump, and Nathan Reyna. Thank you for your dedication and for truly embodying what it means to Be the Energy. #cityofmidlandtx #midlandtxfd #employeeappreciation #localheroes
