City of Green River, UT reposted this
I am thrilled to share the City of Green River, UT has been awarded $600,000 through the Rural Communities Opportunity Grant #RCOG to kick off the Broadway and Main Project. This bold step forward will fund critical infrastructure planning and engineering for curbs, gutters, sidewalks, water, sewer, and drainage upgrades; all by laying the groundwork for a vibrant, revitalized downtown. This project is about more than infrastructure; it’s about creating opportunity. By transforming Broadway and Main, we’re making space for new businesses, potential housing, and two cornerstone attractions that will celebrate Green River’s rich history and ignite new economic growth. We extend our deepest gratitude to the #GovernorsOfficeofEconomicOpportunity (#GOEO) for their support, and special thanks to Ryan Starks, Debra McKee, and James A. Dixon for championing projects like this that make a real difference in rural communities. I also want to take a moment to thank Ryan K Englund and the team at Better City for their incredible work in providing their tireless economic development support and guidance. Their expertise and dedication have been instrumental in helping us secure this grant and move Green River’s vision forward. This is an exciting moment for our community and proof of what we can achieve when we work together with a clear vision for the future. I am excitedly looking forward to watching this project come to life and seeing the long-lasting impact it will have on our city of Green River. A huge thank you to everyone who made this possible. And I want to give a brief shout out to Commissioner Jordan Leonard for allowing me an opportunity to speak at GOEO’s 24 in 24 event today in Castle Dale. #RuralDevelopment #CommunityRevitalization #EconomicGrowth #GreenRiver #Infrastructure #BroadwayandMain
