Gabe C., a Perry High School Sports Medicine 1 student and a member of the golf team, was honored with an "And Then Some Award." Over winter break, while working at a golf course, Gabe encountered an emergency where a man required CPR. For 12 minutes, Gabe used the life-saving skills he had learned in his Sports Medicine class to perform CPR, ultimately saving the man's life. The man later stopped by to personally thank Gabe for his heroic actions. Thank you, Gabe! #WeAreChandlerUnified

Ying Shao, third-grade Dual Language Mandarin teacher at Tarwater Elementary School, has been named the Arizona Language Association Teacher of the Year. 🎉 She's representing both Arizona and CUSD at the Southwest Conference on Language Teaching (SWCOLT) from January 23–25. She is competing against seven other Teachers of the Year from the southwest states for the 2025 SWCOLT State Teacher of the Year award.
