This week our very own Steven Farag sat down with Jabari Young from ForbesBLK at Nasdaq to announce Campus Ink's recent $2M raise, discuss the best advice he’s received from Mark Cuban, and chat all things NIL ahead of March Madness 🏀. This insightful conversation dives into how Steven (our fearless CEO) started out as a student selling t-shirts and how this new round of funding will fuel the expansion of our NIL Store brand so we can support more universities, students and athletes amid the evolving landscape of college athletics. Our women’s basketball program continues to make a difference and be amazing people that all Husky fans can be proud of.
💜 NIL FOR GOOD 💜 Our NIL Store team partnered with the players of UConn women's basketball to create a jersey that would celebrate the life on one of their closest friends and supporters, Abby Zittoun, who passed away after a 7-year battle with cancer at the age of 13. What's more? The Huskies players pledged to donate all of their proceeds to the Abigail Zittoun Family Foundation in Abby's memory. It was a special gesture from a special program; a program that just so happens to be among the most well-known and respected all-time for their championship prowess. The two jersey options are in shades of purple, one Abby's favorite colors. Additionally, the hearts were drawn by Abby. The hearts are over the left chest where the heart resides. At the NIL Store we were honored to be trusted to play a small part in the UConn women's basketball team's remembrance of Abby Zittoun. Special thanks to UConn's Anna LaBonte, Carley Mooney & Kyle Muncy for their roles in the initiative. Had such a great time representing Campus Ink with our newest partners Theta Xi National Fraternity, our 10th online store. Gabby Parks and I were able to show off all the new apparel we have available on the site and start some bulk orders for these fraternity men’s philanthropy, recruitment, and intermural teams. Thank you Tanner Marcantel and the rest of the Theta Xi team for inviting us! #fratenrity #merch #thetaxi #campusink #apparel #retail

Wintrust Arena was the place to be on Wednesday night! DePaul Women's Basketball set a program attendance record with 8,305 fans - all of whom had the opportunity to shop student-athlete merchandise at our NIL Store pop-up in the concourse. Thanks to Annika Altekruse, Lindsay Quick and the rest of the team at Campus Ink for making it possible. 🔵😈

Campus Ink is raising the bar this March Madness. And I’m reallllly excited about this one… When a team advances to the postseason, mostly everyone benefits. Post-season play stimulates the economy in so many ways. --> Arenas sell out. --> General merchandise sales are through the roof. --> TV viewership and advertising are at an all-time high. --> Sports betting thrives --> Hotels, bars & restaurants are packed. --> Even Coaches get performance bonuses. But what about the athletes? Beyond being part of a winning team, everyone else seems to make a little “extra” when teams are good. The NCAA and The Collegiate Licensing Company have granted Campus Ink a brand new license pairing NIL with Official March Madness IP. For the first time, March Madness Insignia will be paired with the player's NIL. That means they’ll rev share directly on every piece of post-season merchandise sold at Campus Ink. It’s a perfect example of “real nil” and we are SO excited to roll this out. For this to happen our team has been working tirelessly to ensure we have full roster participation from every team we forecast to be in the tournament. Each player that plays in the postseason will have their own official March Madness Merch line for each round of the tournament. Each team will have a team tee celebrating their Road to the Final Four. The team is creating and prepping thousands of pieces of art to prepare for every possible situation. Retailers across the industry can purchase these wholesale to have in venue and on their shelves! We feel fortunate to play a small role in helping reward the athletes who have worked their entire careers for these moments. This has never been done before, but we believe this can make a real impact. Thanks to David Clendenin, David Kirkpatrick, and Jujuan Odom for helping make this possible. And of course our fearless leader in NIL, Adam Cook, for continuing to be a thought leader and champion for the way NIL ought to be. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/dyY4amMz

Super proud of the Campus Ink team and what we have cooking for #marchmadness! This is a lift across a lot of different verticals and want to shout out Jujuan Odom and the CLC team for pushing the industry forward and helping deepen the brand/fan connection! Make sure your team doesn't miss out for this March and beyond!
⚡️HISTORY: For the first time, college basketball players will benefit from hot market apparel sales through every round of the NCAA Tournament. It’s thanks to our NIL Store’s implementation of the NCAA’s brand-new NIL Event License. For every round of the tournament, we’ll be supporting our athletes with NIL apparel that actually support their triumphant efforts on the court. Our team has been working tirelessly over the last few months developing unique designs that include players’ NIL, while also actively signing complete rosters. In the video below, our VP Adam Cook debuted the implementation at last week’s Sports Licensing & Tailgate Show in Las Vegas (all designs shown are strictly conceptual). This isn’t limited to just basketball! We’ll use the license to support all sports and athletes in NCAA postseason event. 🎉 100 NIL STORES 🎉 It's official: We've launched our 100th NIL Store. We've come a long way on our road from 1 to 100, and it has been more rewarding than our team could have ever imagined. From starting at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with athlete #1, Brandin Podziemski, to signing the entire Illini men's basketball team and earning the athletes nearly $100K in the first season of NIL. From Steven Farag cold emailing Mark Cuban and earning our initial investment, which opened the floodgates that have led to $2 million in athlete payouts and the onboarding of more than 18,000 athletes in less than 3 years. We're indebted to the first schools who believed in our vision of carving a new path for athletes in the officially licensed NIL apparel space. Marty Kaufmann & Kamron Cox at Illinois. Thomas Mitchell, Jack Gallagher & Sean Ward at Purdue. Kimberly Spino & Rebecca Pany at Indiana. And of course we're forever grateful to the first athletes who took a chance on us and allowed us the opportunity to support them in a meaningful way. From that entire Illini men's basketball team including Kofi Cockburn. To Bailey Dowling, who was our first female athlete as she went on to an incredible career at Alabama. Most importantly, as our team has grown over the years, we've never wavered in our mission: support every athlete, pay them more than anyone else, and be different. We challenge the status quo. We do things that have never been done. And we do it the right way, always. That's why we're more confident in our mission than we've ever been, and remain just as inspired moving forward. We'll continue to learn. We'll continue to improve. We'll continue to innovate. And we'll continue to serve our athletes. Because we're the NIL Store, where every athlete counts. #nil #nilnews #nameimaglikeness #nilstore #niljerseys #nilapparel #nilupdates #ncaa #collegesports #collegeathletics #nilmerch #campusink #ncaanews
