Brooklyn Investment Group is excited to begin a new weekly series - #MeetTheTeamTuesday! Every week for a few weeks, we’ll spotlight a member of our leadership team. We’re pleased to kick the series off with Stella Binkevich, our Chief Operating Officer. Stella joined Brooklyn in mid-2023 as Head of Operations. Since then, she has played a pivotal role in overseeing compliance, finance, vendor management, and client service (among other things), while quarterbacking strategic initiatives for the company across teams. Stella first encountered direct indexing during her time in FinTech M&A and was thrilled when Brooklyn contacted her about the opportunity. “Working alongside the best team at Brooklyn and serving our clients is a privilege. I am excited about powering the growth of our RIA and asset manager clients alike!” Some fun facts about Stella: - Born in Ukraine and moved to Brooklyn at the age of six, Stella is proud of both her roots and being a Brooklynite. - Stella has completed two skydives, demonstrating that she’s always ready to dive into a new adventure — whether it’s out of an airplane or into a new challenge at BKLN! Stay tuned for next week’s #MeetTheTeamTuesday!

Great to spend time with our Sanctuary Wealth partners at # IMS2025. Lots of interest in our tax-advantaged 130/30 and other long/short solutions as a way to sell down concentrated positions and help offset taxes from liquidity events. Check out the new Brooklyn Investment Group x Cache collaboration, 'Peanut Butter and Jelly.' Some things go well together. The classic combination of peanut butter and jelly is often used as an example of things that complement one another. Both tax loss harvesting and exchange funds can provide diversification solutions to investors with concentrated stock positions. But are they mutually exclusive or complementary? In this paper, Brooklyn Investment Group and Cache jointly discuss how investors can combine the use of tax-loss harvesting and exchange funds in order to create solutions which match the investor preferences for diversification, speed of implementation and liquidity. Much like how a peanut butter and jelly sandwich is often seen as greater than the sum of its parts, a concentrated stock portfolio that combines tax-loss harvesting with exchange funds for diversification may offer a more effective investment solution compared to relying on either strategy alone. Another great FundFire piece by Nate DiCamillo about the latest and greatest in tax-loss harvesting. Thank you to Michael Casciano of EVO Wealth Consulting for thinking of Brooklyn Investment Group as a great fit for advisors who have effective strategies but would like to add outside tax overlay to drive potential after-tax returns and client engagement. "If advisors love a strategy, use it for a long time, and have high conviction, it's a great fit" to add outside tax overlay, Casciano said. "Personalization and tax optimization only add to their confidence in delivering better results to clients." We couldn’t have said it better ourselves. #assetmanagement #fintech #taxlossharvesting #brooklyninside #ria Full article can be found here: https://lnkd.in/e4tE5akX

Thank you to FundFire reporter Nate DiCamillo for featuring Brooklyn Investment Group, and our partners at Nuveen, a TIAA company, in this comprehensive overview of the latest developments in the separately managed accounts space. As the new year revs up, we’re incredibly excited to continue working with Nuveen to bring our multi-asset product to more and more managers, and to make the underpinning technology available to wirehouses and asset managers. #assetmanagement #fintech #taxlossharvesting #brooklyninside #ria See the full article here: https://lnkd.in/eNQufG72

Erkko Etula, Katie Salvaterra, and Chase Komatz stopped by Seattle for breakfast. Erkko runs Brooklyn Investment Group, and Katie and Chase are his partners at Nuveen, a TIAA company. We talked about the latest in taxable wealth. Here's a summary (plus some other stuff rattling around): • Single-stock concentration is huge (my 2025 focus) • Householding tax optimization is UMA 2.0 • Tax-aware long/short is a show-stopper (ideal client?) • 351 conversion to ETF is hip, but other strategies worth weighing • ETFs are tax-innovating at the speed of SEC approval • Exchange funds are popular for their simplicity • Options as an alternative to bonds • Variable prepaid forwards coming down market • Opportunity zones could be changing • Charitable remainder trusts probably outperform DAFs Lots of cool stuff to examine... If you're in town, hit me up. blog.taxalphainsider.com for the latest in taxable wealth

As investors express an increased appetite for customization, asset managers are leveraging technology to keep up with the shift. Brooklyn Investment Group is at the forefront of this trend, as highlighted by Bloomberg News. Our application of artificial intelligence in portfolio management enables scaling of SMAs to broader wealth segments. “Ultimately asset management is a fiduciary business, and you’ve got to have a human at the end of the funnel,” says Erkko Etula, Brooklyn’s CEO and co-founder. “With our technology, each one of those human portfolio managers is able to massively scale the number of accounts they can manage while improving the quality of portfolio management.” Isabelle Lee Denitsa Tsekova #assetmanagement #fintech #direcindexing #taxlossharvesting #brooklyninside #ria Check out the full read here: https://lnkd.in/eG-6tgTa
