I was honored to attend the dedication ceremony for El Capitan at Lawrence Livermore National Labs (LLNL). As the world’s fastest supercomputer, El Capitan represents a monumental leap in computational power and innovation. This achievement is a testament to the incredible collaboration and dedication of the teams at AMD, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. This is the first APU-powered supercomputer, with integrated MI300A GPUs and 4th Gen EPYC Zen-based CPUs, that drastically improve compute efficiency for key high-performance compute workloads. We are excited to see the groundbreaking research and advancements it will enable. Proud to be part of this historic technology milestone!
