If you're serious about leaving your wirehouse or IDB, this is where you get real answers. The Breakaway Chronicles showcases advisors who’ve successfully transitioned to the RIA model and figured out what works (and what doesn’t) along the way. John Henderson of Echo45 Advisors will break down the reality of going independent—mistakes made, lessons learned, and what he’d tell anyone considering the same path. Of course, there will also be time for Q&A. 📅 Wednesday, March 12th ⏰ 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET Secure your spot: https://lnkd.in/eUqZdj-Y

Most webinars don’t fail because of bad content. They fail because no one shows up. Advisors put in the work—crafting an insightful session, lining up guest speakers—but overlook two key factors: The right audience → A focused title like “Tax Strategies for Pre-Retirees” attracts the right people. Generic topics don’t stand out. The right follow-through → A registration link isn’t enough. Sending reminder emails, posting teasers, and offering replay access increases engagement. Webinars work best when they’re planned with the same precision as client meetings. Every step—promotion, delivery, and follow-up—shapes the outcome. What’s your process?

Most advisors spend more time on admin than with clients. What would it take to flip this on its head? Today, according to Michael Kitces, the stats break down like this: 🔹 Back office (admin, servicing, ops): 35% 🔹 Middle office (planning, prep, compliance): 47% 🔹 Front office (client interactions): 18% Without the right systems, operational demands eat into the work that advisors want to be doing. Connect with our team to learn what life looks like with the right systems.

Two studies. Two perspectives. Vanguard’s Advisor’s Alpha and SmartAsset’s Advisor Value Model both quantify the value of financial advisors, but their methodologies differ. 📌 SmartAsset models the financial impact of working with an advisor, projecting a 2.39%–2.78% annual premium and up to 212% more wealth over a lifetime through investment gains, tax savings, and behavioral finance insights. 📌 Vanguard focuses on advisor-driven actions—behavioral coaching, tax efficiency, and disciplined rebalancing—estimating they can preserve up to 3% annually by helping clients avoid costly mistakes. Similar story, different approach. Both reinforce the same truth: advisors help clients achieve better outcomes. Advisors, which approach resonates more with you?

Micro Interview: Gideon Drucker, CFP® AIF® ECA on Growth, Innovation, and the Role of Altruist Altruist: Drucker Wealth has been around for three generations. What’s the key to longevity? Gideon Drucker: Being willing to adapt & evolve over time. No matter how well Drucker Wealth was doing, we have always looked for ways to get better & take things up a level. My dad created a culture where we have no rear-view mirror…it’s all about what’s next. That inspired me to do my part in pushing us forward over these last few years— launching our own RIA, revamping our business development process and seeking out new platforms/partners to improve the client experience. Altruist: How has content marketing driven your growth? Gideon Drucker: It’s really been the jet fuel that got our Wealth Builder Division off the ground. My book, How to Avoid Henry Syndrome, led to a 7,000+ subscriber newsletter, a webinar series, and 75+ new clients per year 3 of the last 4 years. People engage with our content before they ever reach out and all the different levers compliment and build on one another. That builds trust at scale. Altruist: You’re an active user of the Idea Portal. What’s that experience been like? Gideon Drucker: I probably post too much. But what’s incredible is that my feedback actually makes it into the product. That’s not something you get with a legacy custodian. If I need a feature, I know I can suggest it and that Altruist is listening. Altruist: What’s your advice for other RIAs looking to grow? Gideon Drucker: 1. Become a student of the business: study other successful advisors and adapt what they’re doing in a way that will work for you. 2. Business development (mostly) doesn’t just happen. You have to have a plan. Look at the last 10 clients you brought on…how did they find you? Can you replicate that consistently? 3. Use tech that evolves with you. Technology isn’t just about aesthetics or efficiency. The right technology can actually increase the value you provide to clients & help you extend the services you offer.
