A Shared Source of Truth for the Global Supply Chain

About us

Altana, based in New York, is the world’s first Value Chain Management System, a collaborative, public-private network that enables customers to take command of their extended supplier and distribution networks — from raw material origins to the sale of finished products. By applying artificial intelligence to the world’s largest body of supply chain data, Altana reveals these previously opaque global networks and powers workflows across them. Customers like Boston Scientific, General Atomics, L.L.Bean, Maersk, US Customs and Border Protection, and the UK Department of Business and Trade use Altana to build secure, resilient, efficient, and sustainable global value chains. A few Altana team members had a special visit to one of the great logistics wonders of the world - UPS Worldport!

They say never meet your heroes, but the addendum to that is "unless they are the UPS Worldport Night Sort Team." Big thanks to the UPS peeps who hooked us up: Dale Black, ATS, Sydney Panaccione, and Chris Rubio. We got to spend last night watching UPS in action as they moved over a million packages in and out of their WorldPort facility in a logistics ballet that combined human ingenuity, automation, miles and miles of belts, ball bearings, UWLs, big mf-ing planes, pilots, customs officials, college students, and everyone and everything in-between. It's an incredible experience that answered the question, where is Ross's new eyebrow and nose hair trimmer? I'm pretty sure I saw it. Altana has taken me to many places, but this is one of the great logistics wonders of the world. IYKYK. (Videos of countless moving belts, packages, and sorting machines available to trade compliance black belts only.) ***All these pics were taken between the hours of 11p and 330a, and frankly, everyone looks great. Shout out to Heather Graybill in the last pic, who really captures how we felt about the tour*** Ashwin C.V., Arun Nemani, Ph.D, Eleanor Cornell, Christian Donnerer, Ian Cadieu, Aaron Libbey, Ravi Madlani #ups #nightsortisthebestsort #PLANES #parcels

Today, the White House confirmed that new tariffs on imports from Canada, Mexico, and China will take effect tomorrow—a shift that will disrupt supply chains and increase costs overnight. • How much of your product cost is at risk? • Which suppliers will hit your bottom line the hardest? • Where can you pivot to mitigate the impact? These are the questions we built the Altana Tariff Scenario Planner to answer. • Quantify your exposure – See precisely how much of your end product cost is affected by new tariffs, broken down by supplier, shipment, and trade lane. • Prioritize your response – Identify high-risk suppliers and focus your diversification efforts where they’ll have the biggest impact. • Take action fast – Instantly find alternative suppliers to protect margins and avoid disruptions. Trade uncertainty is inevitable, but costly surprises don’t have to be. See how Altana can help you stay ahead: https://lnkd.in/ebgfWwjE

🚨 READ THIS if you’re working on a tariff impact analysis right now! I know so many of you are on TARIFF WATCH today. With new tariffs on Canada, Mexico, and China set to take effect tomorrow, you may be scrambling to figure out what this means for *your* business. Not just in terms of US import tariffs, but also the impact of potential retaliatory tariffs. I work with a crew of brilliant technologists who developed a Tariff Scenario Planner using Altana's platform—giving you a way to instantly model “what-if” tariff scenarios and assess impact specific to your business. This doesn’t just calculate duty impact—it’s powered by your products’ multitier value chains, considering each tier and even helping identify alternative suppliers if needed. Too many trade folks are still trying to crunch these numbers in spreadsheets—piecing together supplier data, value chain dependencies, and duty rates. *I see you. I’ve been you.* And I know how stressful it is to try to report these numbers with so much uncertainty. If that’s you, watch this quick video. This is literally HOT OFF THE PRESS, and I’m sharing it here with you, my trade community, FIRST. You all know you can call me if you want to talk this out, but help is on the way! The US Department of Commerce's Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) announced a landmark rule prohibiting Chinese and Russian-made components in-vehicle connectivity and autonomous systems. Companies will have to trace the origins of their components deep into their supply chains while tracking software updates and access points throughout networks. In this compliance environment, real-time visibility is critical. With Altana, automotive manufacturers have transformed how they manage their value chains to achieve long-term regulatory compliance. When the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) added 37 new entities to the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) Entity List, it raised the #compliance stakes for U.S. importers. According to our analysis, as many as 2,223 U.S. companies are exposed to the new entities in their supply chains - 66% of which are in the retail and apparel sectors. Using Altana, companies can immediately identify and manage their own exposure. Read our latest blog post to learn more: https://lnkd.in/gf-WbZMi #ForcedLabor
