Good productRachmatNo issue with the product with Sonos5
Excellent price, very good sound.JeffLove the sleek look, available in white to blend in with the walls, onboard buttons, sound and price. The Sonos app needs a lot of work though. This was more affordable and approachable than hardwiring 4 rooms, and it works with all things Sonos. No voice assistant on these, but $20 Echo dots can do that for me.5
Great sound for a reasonable priceTamI got 2 of these a couple of months ago. They were easy to set up and sounds great. I got 2 more for my son. 5
Great Sound!SueI love that this speaker is integrated with the Sonos system! It’s cheaper than the name brand but connected easily with my Sonos system!5
Economical Sonos gatewayAnonymous reviewerLongtime Sonos owner, bought one out of curiosity and was really impressed. Had no issues setting it up on the Sonos app. The sound was surprisingly comparable (more noticeable on the bottom end) to my existing Sonos speakers, but at half the price.5
Works great IF you can plug one directly into a router SarahWe started having all sorts of issues with the app not find one or all of our speakers (we have several in a couple different rooms). We aren’t sure if the issue was their app or that we have a mesh router set-up, because we’ve also noticed that sometimes caused issues with our Hue lights connecting until we got a hub for that.
I followed online advice and ran a (long) network cable from our router to one of the speakers. That allows the other speakers to use the plugged-in speaker as a hub and has fixed all the problems. We’ve had no issues since but it’s a frustrating fix if you don’t have a speaker near your router. 4
Great System, I love these speakersJulioI enjoy this system, easy to connect and it has lots of apps to connect for music. 5
works best in a pairAnonymous reviewerThis speaker is really good for the price, and of course, works best when there are two. 5
Works perfectlyNikunjI bought this and added it to my Sonos system without any issues. I am using the new app, and as of August 8th it is up to date. With the new app, I was able to add this bookshelf speaker immediately. I even unplugged it and moved it to a different room and after turning it back on it was able to relink with the Sonos app and is available to add to groups. I will update this as needed, but I just wanted to put a review on here that showed that the Gen 2 speaker pairs with the newest Sonos app without issues at this point. 5
Sounds great… when it worksPatrickIt sounds great, looks great, is easy to use and I really like it… except when it doesn’t work. Which isn’t often but when it is then it’s a party and my wife says “put on some nice music” and I suddenly my phone can’t find the speaker, the app can’t find the speaker, I forcekill the app, I need to login in but can’t remember my password and why the heck does a wireless speaker require a login? But then my wife is like “where is the music and can you help me carry this tray?” And then back to trying to reset my password, but then I am in and it still can’t find the speaker, so I uninstall the app, and reinsall the app but now my wife is like “where is the music? And we need the drinks out, and help me with this” but then back to the app and I still don’t understand why the app needs all these permissions and the app still can’t find the speaker which was just working a week ago. And the guests are at the door… and wife is unhappy. I give up and am just using a Bluetooth speaker2
DO NOT BUYJustinThese Sonos speakers are crap. The app is broken. It doesn't detect your speakers when you open the app, every time. Have to open the app 2 or 3 times to activate the speakers. Go to reddit Sonos board and see all the complaints. Avoid Sonos products!! 1
Unusable due to Sonos appBenjaminThe device is basically a $120 paperweight due to problems with the Sonos app.
Earlier this year Sonos released a new version of their app that is extremely unstable and has tons of network issues. If someone's system is already setup then they can maybe avoid using the app but that does no good for anyone buying a new speaker.
Last week, after waiting for hours with unhelpful Sonos tech support, I returned the speakers. I highly recommend you avoid these speakers, and anything with the Sonos label on them.1
120 dollar bricks P NeilThey updated the app a few kk this ago and now these won’t connect to anything. It just leaves me in a doom loop, telling me to sign in, and after I sign in telling me, I need to sign up and sign back in. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app, I’ve updated the operating system on my phone, I’ve done everything that anyone suggested in any of the mini forms online, where everyone is having this problem, and they still just don’t work1
Sonos Ecosystem CharifBought two of these to act as surround speakers in my living room. They sound great and are an easy way to jump into the Sonos ecosystem.
Had some initial install issues because of recent Sonos app update. But not the speakers fault. Worked it all out and we’re up and running.

Sonos interface ruins this product!JimThe sound from these is excellent, provided the room they're in isn't too large and they aren't driven too hard (they do have good volume overall, though). The IKEA part of the product experience is good—price, mounting options, style, etc.—but the Sonos part of the experience is UTTER MISERY. These have significant network connectivity bugs and they require regular deleting and resetting in the garbage Sonos app. Audio is great, but even with solid network connections there is frequent skipping and lag. 1
Great audio and an excellent value.JamesThe simplest and most cost-effective means of creating whole-house audio that I was able to find.5
Sonos App is a Nightmare!WilliamThe updated Sonos 2 app is absolutely horrible as of this date. The Google App store gives it a 2.9 and even though the Apple Store gives it a 4.7—read the actual reviews! Most people complain they cannot connect to their speaker or the upgraded app has taken away the wonderful parts of the app and made it worse. Trying to connect using wireless WiFi has been impossible for me. The ONLY way I have been able to get this speaker to work is by connecting the Ethernet cable straight to my router. My spouse and I are both network specialists and we have exhausted everything that Sonos has stated in their knowledge base. Simply put... the Sonos app is absolutely horrible and it doesn't look like the company is listening to their customers. Outside of the Sonos app nonsense... the speaker itself is absolutely fantastic. I'm hoping someone with tech savvy skills can create a Ikea hack for this speaker and bypass the Sonos app altogether. 1
