BrokenCourtneyGot it home, opened it up, and the fake glass is cracked. My friend also bought one and his was also broken. I live far away from IKEA so returning it is going to be a hassle.
Four Stars for GreenhouseRaymondI have purchased the black 25.5" unit and love it. I only wished the unit came with four small base screws to secure the top to the bottom. One more issue, the plastic side plates have a protective film cover that must be piled off. This requires disassembly of the side plates and reinstall which is a pain.

And not wanting to lose the birthday coupon I used on it. I purchased real metal hardware. All I needed to do was paint the top head of the screws to mat the greenhouse I purchased. It actually feels sturdy.Or I really don't understand why ikea does not use real metal hardware.
I love the greenhouse and if this is what you want to purchase with your coupon as I would not pay full price for it, unless they change the hardware. I recommend going to your local hardwear store and purchasing a round combo and nut set a #8-32×3/8 in. To replace the plastic hardwear. They ran me under $3 for 12 pc. I wish I could post a picture because the metal hardware actually is more compact than the plastic hardware on the greenhouse.

Disappointed in Akerbar indoor greenhouse not worth $22 even with a birthday coupon.MargaretThree of the 4 plastic hardware would not stay in place. No, the windows are not glass. But I would still have liked it if the hardware actually stayed in place. Not sure why they did not use metal hardware for the four needed to hold this together. I used my birthday coupon on this and now will have nothing to show for it since I'll be returning this to the store this weekend. I did take photos, but I see nowhere to load them to the page. As for appearance, if it worked....I would have loved it for the kitchen window.
Horrible to Assemble, Flimsy, Not Even GlassGinaMade an account just so I could write a review of this terrible greenhouse!! The assembly for such a small item took over an hour because you have to remove the protective film from both sides of the plexiglass panels, which are ALREADY installed. This entails plying each metal tab open to remove each panel and then reassembling them piece by piece. The whole thing is held together by four cheap plastic pins which did not even lock together fully, so the whole structure is incredibly flimsy. As other commenters have noted, this is not a real greenhouse. There are large gaps between sections that have to be filled or taped up to properly hold humidity. 0/5 Stars.

disappointed but i can use it for other thingsAnonymous reviewerThis was easy to assemble. but the plexiglass is held in by bended tabs. The 4 pegs hold the top in place and the frame sits in the bottom tray.
So for me or anyone to use it, I will need to buy sealant to trap the humidity in. I will have to seal every plexiglass in place. I will also have to silicone the bottom to the top so that soil and water/moisture doesn't get between the sides and the tray it sits in.
This is the only way anyone could keep plants in it unless you keep your plants in a pot and not use it as a vivarium with a dirt bottom. I would not use this for animals of any kind if you plan to use it as a terrarium.
Also, this was supposed to arrive on Monday. The company didn't even take it out of the warehouse until Sunday. It arrived 2 days late. I paid for shipping to arrive on the date suggested. Not when they feel like getting it together and shipping it.

Material JoelWhile I enjoy this item the material is a little too flexible. Brushing up against it causes it to warp and if you don’t notice right away and readjust the item it tends to stick.
Hopeful but disappointed CelesteI really thought this would be a great product after all of the good things I've heard about IKEA but this thing is worthless. 2 out of 4 screws/fasteners fell out and it's full of gaps and holes so not a true terrarium. I've wasted money on this and everything I put in it to grow 10 plants!! First and last purchase .

Severely Disappointed AllisonI was so excited to get this greenhouse. I needed something for a few of my plants that need a humid environment. But this “greenhouse” is not it at all. This is more of a decoration for fake plants. The overall structure is insecure. It’s full of gaps and won’t hold any humidity. Not to mention the panes are plexiglass. I thought these were real glass panes, but the plexiglass will be difficult to clean and won’t keep much moisture in. If I didn’t live so far from an IKEA, I would return this. Do not recommend for use with actual plants.
