it was amazing
bookshelves: dystopia, sci-fi

Really like it. An excellent and intricate narratives of history, physics and humanity. Not a moment of boredom since the beginning. What caught my attention to carry on was how the content is so incredibly well-translated from Mandarin to English. I can tell that because I am a polyglot myself being fluent in those languages.

I am a layman in astrophysics so I can't really verify the accuracy of its scientific principles. But most of its scientific explanations are crystal clear and I don't have any problem understanding what is going on. I just take it as a very entertaining fantasy story.

I read it in the form of audiobook. The voice actor does a marvelous job performing different roles in their perfect demeanor and characteristics.

What do I like most about it? To me, it carries a well-rounded plot based on historical events and backed by certain established scientific principles; and the deep portrayals of human psychology resulted from traumatic life experiences are both poignant and intriguing. Listening to its audiobook makes doing chores a more enjoyable experience.

The author, the translator and the voice actor have definitely made this audiobook a great success. It might lose its charm lacking any one of them.

I am now moving on to read the second part of the trilogy.
