That's not Freya. That's Ostara, or Oestra (Gallic/Celtic pantheon) from which we get the term "Easter".
She had the bird she turned into a rabbit who could still lay eggs, and this is why we have both rabbits and eggs as symbols for the holiday.
However, that was a story conjured up for the goddess in the late 1890's, and added later on.
