Yeah, it's done now. It is already coated with a mixture of wax and oil. Great for the first completed job.

A lot of carvings have been added here. The sanding is very far from ideal, but I did what I could. In the future, I will need at least a screwdriver with a grinding attachment, if not a grinding machine in general. Three-dimensional shapes are easier to polish than relief. A lot of small places - where you can't squeeze tools or a finger with sandpaper, lol.
That's quite impressive, the results you have gotten. I have a Dremel, and I found it to be difficult to control. I was using it to build a dollhouse kit and I ended up reverting to sandpaper and X-acto knives because the Dremel kept "running away" on me.
Kinda took the wind out of my sails for doing small-scale woodworking...

Yes, considering the circumstances, I agree!
Power tools are definitely not always suitable, mainly because of their weight. Although having all the options at hand is the key to greater success.
My first (and probably only) item is definitely a screwdriver. Its versatility is unimaginable. So, until I get this thing for myself, I'll have to work hard.
I won't buy myself a grinding device, it's incredibly expensive and unjustifiable for me haha. Also, I use the scalpel knife you mentioned.
It turned out to be very good for carving tiny parts and the like, partly because of the thin blade, which bends a little. It was an extremely pleasant discovery:3
