You know, that face in panel 5 makes Kass look like something he never, in her wildest dreams, ever expected she'd end up as.
She looks like a proper matriarch. Vizlet would be proud. Two utterly alien races, making a real connection to each other. Heaven only knows the yinglets could use some mentors at times.

Yannit is right: Kass is such a wonderful, good person. Even when he's struggling each day, he still stops to be there for people. This is why we love him.
Also, there is just something so fittingly silly about seeing a huge baxxid freaking out while the person in the tiny yinglet form is being the calm, reassuring voice of reason. XD

:3 this is the training phase, and something tells me shes practically going to be teacher or role model for some of the youth in the enclave showing them a different way of life / role model to aspire...I sincerely mean this Vizlet & the Trade Master are playing 4d chess while like casually chilling drinking mimosas
100% agree especially with everything she deals with bless her heart she evolved past wine aunt to whiskey women. Tbh was thinking of trade master hosting when drinks came to mind X3 he strikes me as the mojito or mimosa something refreshing after committing morally questionable acts .
Hya, OOPsoids! I'm here to remind you once again that there's a place called "Top Web Comics" https://www.topwebcomics.com/?home=3 that compiles comics from various places. There's a bunch of cool stuff there. They have monthly votes, so you can support OOPs there. You can vote once a day per device, so your PC, laptop, tablet, phone, etc.
I've noticed that you can sometimes even get in extra votes from different IP addresses, or if you're disconnected from your IP and open up again later.
It closed out last month at 12427 votes and 73rd place. It's currently at 8021 votes and 61st place. The highest it's reached is 36th place, and the top vote getters seem to end up with something close to 60,000 votes, at least historically.
Vote early, vote often! Help OOPs get noticed!

I'll repeat my comment on this from last time:
"The numbers at TWC have gotten very strange recently. Hundreds of votes have been showing up suddenly every day, and the rankings throughout a day have been going radically up and down. I recently noticed that this is just confined to the comics in the top 100.
This is making the numbers and rankings pretty meaningless, and is really unfair to any comic not in the top 100. It also makes it a complete crapshoot where the comics end up at the end of the month. I haven't been able to find out what's going on with this."

<3 trauma buddies :3 <3 Honestly aside from the individual's personal experience I also am starting to see another angle towards this. From a tactical standpoint they both actually make up for each others flaws making them a vary powerful team, but also this can serve as an olive branch towards to enclave to be like ( Yo Braxxid and the city have a shared living space, and so can y'all) Helping to incorporate them while building solidarity between the two since Yinglets and Braxxid are both intelligent creatures, with strong survival responses.
Ranting aside I just adore these two :) Kas & Kal also has a cool duo name, and really cant wait to see how they grow....also ngl I feel like on some level Vizlet and Trade-Master are playing 4d chess to like subtly awaken Kas's maternal instinct via being more of a mentor and guiding ..probably hoping that Kas may take a more active role with helping some of the more troubled yingelts or something lol I can see the two Gendo posing in the back both with their respected aspirations. Vizlet like beaming at the notion of retiring and being more of a grand mentor role letting, and meanwhile Trade master just like :3 we have an enclave now, and we can help with education.

Honestly, that's so sweet. Using one's own experiences to nurture and care for others.
That's what's great about this as well. By doing this, and going through this, Kaz will also come to terms with things themselves. Because that's the beauty of teaching - you're learning as well.

The other thing I love about this, is how Viracroix and Ran both have the incredible level of common sense to stay out of this. They're both avoiding the natural urge to micromanage and they're allowing Kass and her growing team to run the show.
Granted, Viracroix expects results? But he's given every indication that he's not only patient, but understands that patience will produce valuable results.

Hey now, Kal, what would Nell think if she saw the lustful way you're gazing at that yinglet. Your skull plate will be pincushion of stone dildos in no time!
Kidding aside, Kass's comment about how other guard Baxxids have a 'look' makes me wonder how those Baxxids got their jobs. Was it a case of the trademaster requiring a levee of Baxxid soldiers from the original agreement long ago? Or was it a case of the Baxxid leadership seeing a propensity for physical aggression in certain individuals and deciding those traits needed a constructive outlet?
I ask because Baxxid are so very adverse to all things physical, even physical labor, hunting, or strong outward displays of emotion. How did these few get into a position that sometimes requires rough stuff, or at least threatening violence?

I love how despite the situation, the goofiness, and the presentation at the start of the comic as a typical slightly dopey, selfish grunt who fancies himself to be an enterprising ideas man, he's actually really competent and kind. Did your plans for him change while you were/are writing him?
