This is gorgeous. I find myself thinking about the shapes I'm rendering in my art more & more as rings of trees take different shapes each go-over I do from sketching to the final parts of highlights & such.

It's such a profound & strange pattern my mind struggles to wrap around sometimes, the feeling of how details smooth out & become still & uniform & our ripples impact less & less with time.

I've seen a lot of symbolism about yin & yang , good & bad, virtues & vices & such contrasts for all my life & nothing hit quite like this one.
