(I like the remix more but the original is beautiful too)
I found a new song I like on a futurepop playlist and got the melancholy and inspiration boost again.
I'm sad I don't have the motivation and mental energy to make my story into a proper webcomic, because it's .... so beautiful, so romantic, so tragic, so deep and meaningful, so ...kind of weird and melancholic. I feel it with all my heart but the more it breaks not being able to show all of it to the world with a proper narrative tool (wich would be a comic/graphic novel).
At least I can draw and paint some very small snippets of it all from time to time if I'm not doing personal stuff.
This scene took place a long, very very long time ago when they both were ..... "normal".
They were the only more civilized life forms they knew, except the strange and eery creatures that terrorized their planet and all the living beings living on it, but we don't talk about those.
For these two, the world was their's. They were the only ones they could talk to. They searched for others a lot but could never find any, though it wasn't a big problem for them.
Their parents were absent - one's parents died, the other's went away without ever coming back, both happened when they were very young. Alone as children, they had to survive on their own and through pure luck it seems, they found each other and could explore and learn about the world and how to survive together.
One was pretty optimistic and saw the beauty, fascination, wonder and hope everywhere in the world, even in the darkest times. The other had no trust in anything and grew bitter over the course of his life.
One had to leave the world earlier than expected and the other became so depressed and broken that he could not live his life in the usual way anymore. He went on a last big journey through the world, to find his parents, other people or anything to live for.
In a blizzard, caused by a volcano, he died alone, but this should not have been the end.

Amazing premise, I love your story. Piece compliments it so well, the bond between these souls in a scary world. Fields are gorgeous, and their designs are gorgeous. What a tragic turn of events too ;-; Would love to see if you continue with story, as long as it's something you wish ^-^
