Might I suggest the incubus/succubus, where the wings grow from the top/back of the head?
My general go-to for wings that don't function are Cloak Wings, which come out from the back and wrap around the front like a blanket. The arms tuck into the wings when curled, and they look like a giant burrito of sorts when fully closed.
An important mental image is someone who has been winged flapping their wings angrily when stressed or emotional. Where someone else might facepalm or shake their head, the wingding flaps their headwings petulantly.

I think I generally mentally included all types of head based wings under the category of halo, but I suppose further back ones could be a considered a subcategory and sometimes called succubus style.
And yeah! There's definitely new unconscious body language that crops up once folks have gained wings. There's a big adjustment phase the first couple of months that you have em
