Following story bit is written by https://www.furaffinity.net/user/supercook/ go give them treats for their work.
At a certain point you'd think you would learn to NOT accept going on a hunt with a Floran. So of course when Nuru came up asking if you'd be her partner for a hunt you accepted without a thought. It is an honor to be invited by her especially, so... toughing it out is fine. The first day was little more than travel and following tracks, collecting some smaller game as bait for the real target. That second day you can barely remember, a chaotic clash of beast, spear, and your own blade. Only recollecting yourself just as the campfire roars to life.
That windy night, resting at the campfire? You're reminded of one of the many reasons you appreciate Nuru. Her feet kicked up onto a fallen log she rolled over for a seat, soaking in some heat. Despite her active life, they always kept a softness to them and adorable look to them. Before you could stop yourself, you already moved to sit next to her, face not that far away from your object of admiration. Which proved to be a costly mistake as you already see her eyes lock on to you.
"You're a little close, huh? Well our hunt was good! Go ahead!" She happily smiled as her feet go from resting on the log to resting in your lap.
A nice reward for helping out, and perhaps the real reason she invited you to go hunting...
