A Small PSA from Tyra, your owl Monarch!
In Tyras lore, she is actually a war veteran. The conflict between her homeland of Noctua and the eagle country of Aquileia changed her. She found and lost friends during her time. After the end of the war, despite her fascination for fireworks, she has to wear ear mufflers every year, otherwise it would trigger her hurt soul.
If you dont want to find her crying and hiding under her bed, you also don't want to find real life vets that way. Let alone animals.
If youre planning to blow up some fireworks, make sure to be wary of your neighbors and plan ahead- or inform them, so they can plan ahead and avert the worst.
Happy New Year!

Fireworks are both fascinating to me, as a person who did a year of pyrotechnics for a course module, but can be the most triggering thing in the world.
I'm hyper sensitive to both light and sound, and fireworks can trigger both aspects of such sensitivity very quickly.. which is extremely disorientating, as for brief moments I'm either temporarily blinded or deafened.. or both. But it also causes me a excessive amount of pain, a burning pain and a heavy ringing sound, its not fun, and gets prolonged. Luckily most displays i've gone to, provide ear mufflers for those with my troubles (I also wear eye protection for bright light, mainly sunglasses funnily enough), unfortunally people who fire them around the neighbourhood don't consider such things.
