[ID: A orange digital character reference of Ashti Baran, a 21 year old Kurdish trans woman who goes by she/her pronouns. Ashti has light brown skin, brown hair tied to a pony tail, a squareish face, and a mole on her left chin and cheek. She wears a deep red button up shirt with a lilac dress and brown boots. On the left shows a fullbody of Ashti standing nervously. On the right shows four expressions which show starting from top left clockwise: A panicking Ashti holding her face as she says "Nononono Not again!!", a shy but happy Ashti in a black hoodie say she stims with her tied hair "Y-you like my designs? T-Thank you!", a confused sweating Ashti staring at the viewer as she says "I... uh... okay...", and frolorn Ashti wearing a black hoodie as she holds a bunny plush as she says "Uh, I know it's childish but... I like stuffies..." End ID.]

Another main character to my Feltling setting and the only human. Here is Ashti Baran! She is a Kurdish trans woman in her early 20s who deals with a lot of social anxiety and mental health struggles. She is talented at sewing and has a lot of knowledge and fascination towards fabrics, she dreams of being able to design clothes and stuffies for the masses, but she struggles to find work due to her poor mental health.
The Baran family are Kurdish immigrants from Iran, they escaped the country due to the increasing corruption and now reside mostly in the UK. However, this new security wasn't perfect, as many of the family members would experience culture shocks and dealt with unaddressed PTSD from their hardships and being forced to leave their home country. As the family would give birth to newer generations, these troubles would be projected onto their children as well.
Ashti is of the newer generation. Whilst her family were hardworking people that raised their children the best they could, there was still a lot of toxicity due to the unaddressed traumas and Ashti would experience a lot of arguing and fights in her childhood to even teenhood. Due to also being raised male and being on the autistic spectrum, her family would put a lot of pressure on her to succeed, all of this only made Ashti very withdrawn and she'd develop severe social anxiety as a result. Ashti in her later teen years would also come out as a trans woman, whilst many of her family were supporting, there many those that were not so, which only led to a bigger strain on her relationship with her family.
Some of her only comforts since her childhood were her methods in tactile stimming, that is touching and feeling different materials as a grounding tool and also for fun, she would come to develop a special interest in fabrics, clothes, stuffed toys, and anything that felt soft. As a result, Ashti is very talented in sewing, stitching, and also plushie and fashion design. She also has a lot of interest towards Feltlings for this reason too, even if she's often too shy to interact with any of them.
Being a trans autistic woman with a Kurdish immigrant family, Ashti feels very lost in her identity and place. She often feels too Kurdish to be British and also too British to be Kurdish. With her mental health struggles she has difficulty applying to any jobs without panicking and even finds interacting with other people to be too much. Though one work around is that she finds interacting with Feltlings to be easier than interacting with fellow human beings due to finding them less 'scary' and also because of her interest towards them.
