Recently, Franklin begins having multiple wetting accidents on the ground whenever he's playing, which is strange, as he's pretty sure he's been fully toilet trained!
After a visit to the doctor, she reveals to the boy that he might have an overactive bladder condition, which causes him to lose control and end up going much earlier than usual without him knowing. And until they can figure out a solution to all this, Mrs. Turtle receives some diapers intended for bigger kids with a similar issue, much to the poor boy's horror...
Although Mrs. Turtle assures him that his diapers will be hidden under his shell, and that (hopefully) none of his friends will know about his little secret... Franklin is still worried that something will give it away, whether it be how he walks now, or the rustling noise from his diaper. And atop of all that, they feel weird and uncomfortable! They need to be taped on tight which makes them stuffy, the tapes can sometimes chafe his skin through the material, and how whenever he walks, his legs are rubbing against the plastic covered padding!
Mrs. Turtle says he'll eventually get used to all this, although Franklin knows he will not be happy about any of it...
I originally had plans for doing another turtle character (Baby Shelby), But I decided I wanted to do a picture involving Franklin the turtle instead, as I think his design looks really adorable, any kidfur character that unironically pulls of the baseball cap look is just really charming. Also I've wanted to see some diapered art of him for sometime now. So I'm willing to provide!
(also I find it weird that he's the only kid with an actual name, while every other kid is named after their animal species)
A little detail I like, but rarely see, is that of kid characters who need to return to wearing diapers, not being used to the initial sensation of how they feel after being out of them for so long. Whether it's because of their thickness or strange texture (especially if plastic backed). Which I think is really adorable for adding a little detail to the slice-of-life feel.
Sorry for my lack of output recently, I've just lost a ton of motivation to draw, which is why I wanted to take a break and actually draw something I want to, instead of having to.

Well... if you want to be realistic, a turtle will probably wear a diaper OVER their shells, as they are a part of their body and not removable. (If they did, they'd tear their organs out)
Although a lot of cartoons go with the 'turtles are hermit crabs' logic, which I think is fine, as a shell can sometimes obstruct certain accessories or pieces of clothing, and removing them can be used for certain gags.
Franklin has been seen without his shell twice, once during a doctor's visit (where he was completely nude, but then again, almost all animals in the show are nudists, lol) and another was an episode where he finds the darkness of his shell scary to sleep in (in that episode he was seen wearing a t-shirt, which was originally what I was going to dress him in)

That would've made a lot more sense from a drawing standpoint than this, but I think there are enough diaperfurs drawn and loved as it is.
On the other hand, it's too bad we never got to see Lorca from Dragon Tales re-animated and diapered up... while there are tons of dragons in diapers already, I almost never see any revival effort of Dragon Tales around here (though I did see a couple over on DeviantArt, but not what I was looking for).
