Yeah, I imagine the stomach would have limited air (realistically, there would be none), so if Dave stays in there long enough, yeah he will suffocate, which would probably take several hours. But that should be the least of his worries as the stomach acid would kill him along before that happens.
From my understanding based on how the comics show it, I assume the stomach can't digest live prey hence why it doesn't seem to affect Dave yet and why the stomach fills up with acid, to drown the prey and then digest them.
(Realistically, the pressure of being swallowed would probably break a few bones and the trip down esophagus would be a tight space, so the esophagus prevent them from breathing as well, on the other hand, I imagine the trip wouldn't be long enough to suffocate them as they should enter the stomach in a few seconds. And honestly, a prey that big would likely choke Darky so even more realistically she would probably have to chew her food. Realism sucks.)

Oh she does plenty of that, does Dark. She just doesn't want to do it to THIS person. It's hard to blame her, he's a friend and she values him as more than just one meal.
Eating him, she definitely enjoyed, though, but for wholly different reasons than normal. She'd REALLY rather get to do it again.

This is getting better and better with every page, especially with the looning acid rising creating the perfect physical representation of suspense in this! You're such an exceptional comic artist and I'm hyped for so much more of it in the future! Keep doing great!
