Hey there, you guys, it's be a while since I got to make any proper updates! First off, I'd like to say that I truly appreciate all your guys support and love towards my work! All of that has helped me push on forward and continue what I love to do. So I thank you all at the bottom of my heart for being there in many ways, especially to the few who consoled me during my hardships.
Second, speaking of which, I've been dealing with so much over time that I've been slow on making content like I used to. Life situations get out of hand and throw my motivation off, but after some time of adjusting and healing from all that, I am now ready to get back on schedule. In fact, I've returned with a better idea on how to improve my art skills, with the help of some guides from
PsyrapMafia which refreshed me with a few old techniques I've forgotten and new perspectives on lighting which I've had most trouble with (thank you for that, by the way!). So, here are the results in this shading/lighting style that I'll be doing for now on for my Portaits! (I'm looking to pass this idea over in my more rendered works too, so be on a lookout for those improvements in my other works.)
As you can see here, I've got an additional OC that I created named Raven! I've also decided that I'll be having two 'sonas represent me in some sort of way, namely Kitty and Shadow. Below are simple descriptions of each character and what their roles are based on a scale I created. Hope you guys like the new changes!
Tier 1 (my Primary 'Sonas, Personal To Me and never OOC)
- Kitty (Gender Creative Hetero Female): My personal fursona representing mostly my innocent and goofy personality, and overall acts as a "hero" for her ability to be optimistic and bring joy to everyone, even towards the darkest of characters. Strictly an SFW character and acts as her own character. Think of her as my avatar/mascot. She hasn't gotten through much change but only the cartoony style that I slightly adjusted.
- Shadow (Masculine Bi Male): My other personal fursona (or alter ego) representing the polar opposite of Kitty. He'll possess mostly my darkest side and pessimistic personality, a once good-natured male turned into an anti-hero, so to speak, and will act as a "vent" or sexually active character in my works. He'll also have improvised traits and personality to act as his own character. I've also went ahead to add some different features to better portray the current design I want him to have, such as the scars plastered all over him, the pattern in the eye/nose area, the eye color, and additional piercings I added in (the chin spikes being an inspiration from Disturbed's singer, David Draiman's, piercings, which I really adore). More will be explained in his bio on TH when I get to updating it.
Tier 2 (my Secondary 'Sonas, Created For Fun With Others and Allowed To Be OOC)
- Kitten (Gender Creative Hetero Female): My secondary fursona representing as an alter ego of Kitty, having more of the slightly dark/erotic traits that I have while some are improvised in to act as her own character. Represents a more reserved but outgoing and mature character, and as a sexually active one to many. She has two brothers named Netik and Raven, and a mate-for-life named Ulfson. Only adjustment to her feature is the lack of eyelashes, which helps give her an indication of a tomboy-ish look that I've been trying fix for a while. Hope you guys can agree that it shows the way I expect it to, hehe!
- Onyx (Masuline Bi Male): My other secondary fursona representing as a mixture of Kitty's good side and Shadow's bad side, basically having good and bad qualities that dubs him a trouble-maker or a misunderstood individual. (In fact, like Kronk from The Emperor's New Groove, he will have physical representations of Kitty acting as his good morality while Shadow acts as his bad morality.) He possesses the struggles of learning about his own self while improving along the way by interacting with other characters, which are representative of my own qualities but mostly improvised to make him act as his own character. His only additional feature include some scars that are not too harsh, but as a visible indication for his meddling with others.
Tier 3 (my Tertiary 'Sonas, Created For Development With Others and Allowed To Be OOC)
- Netik (Masculine Hetero Male): My tertiary fursona representing my traits and personality as a "himbo" male, which I'd like to compare to the likes of Goku from DragonBall Z and Hercules from Disney's Hercules. With this in mind, he acts as his own character by meeting up with other characters through friendship or sexual encounters, but develops a personal bond with Kaoi,
Kareca's female monkey. Also known as Kitten's big brother (the eldest of the three). Due to being a brother to Kitten now, I wanted to stray away from the scars they were going to similarly have and created one that was inspired from my favorite Gears Of War character, Marcus Fenix, who also has such a similar scarring which I've always put into detail. More of that will be described in his bio on TH soon.
- Raven (Masculine Hetero Male): My other tertiary fursona representing most of my somber/depressive traits and personality as a male. Also known as Kitten's downer brother (the youngest of the three), he has some similar dark/struggling qualities on the emotional and mental scale, but goes through a positive and healthy development with
Oakstone's character, named Catkin, a gender-bent Oakstone. He's got unique scars to separate from Kitten's, just like Netik, and I've also added in the chin spikes that Shadow has which I feel is appropriate to his goth-rocker look. Overall, most of his features were quickly made so I can show you guys what he'll look like for the most part. All of this will be further detailed in his bio on TH which I'll create eventually.
On another note, I would like to mention that I also added in one more tier in my SubscribeStar and Boosty sites for those who would be very generous in giving me more support. It'll be called the Kitty Tier and it will not have any new rewards added into it other than being able to access all my tiers. Simply put, it's an option for those wanting to lend out a hand at helping me reach my goal to move away from client work and focus on personal and project works.
