Not all of Shapier is blanketed by golden sand. Along the river and by the hills where moisture is trapped, hardy orchards buoyed by irrigation canals produce prized fruit and berries. Shema enjoys taking a few days now and then to lazily float down the river on one of the city's barges, stopping here and there to pick fruit to sell back at her Inn.
