First time i've done a pic for 8/8; it seemed appropriate to finally draw either one of these two with a belly myself, hah
Ceres and Rai smush their guts together as the two absorb the last of some troublemakers... Rai's not used to eating others, but Ceres is definitely an influence... his cheeky nature gets him to poke at her every so often. It usually results in trouble for him, but this time it might just have piqued her interest~
I'll be totally honest - i've been pretty averse to even -hinting- at Ceres being prey at all for quite a long time now. This aversion, however, only really applies to the zoroark version. With my shift to pirate stuff i'd gotten a little more lax, but i think it's because i had a hangup with absolutely not wanting to break character with her in the zoroark form.
The Flicorian version no longer has this hangup for me, and i honestly, i think having her "at risk" of being eaten by my other characters is a welcome change, and gives them a better dynamic with one another. I do very much intend to draw Rai actually eating her at some point as well, for what it's worth.
I will say, however, even if i... may have toyed with the idea of using her as prey to other people's characters, please do not push me into using her as prey. I would very much prefer it stay exclusive to my own characters, at least for the time being. She is STILL meant to be primarily a pred, in the least.
There's a few issues with the pic tbh... but i was already so far in with it at the point i really noticed that i couldn't realistically do much about it :x
Felt this image really needed a background too, so tried some photobashing again. It wasn't quite what i had in mind, but i think it came out alright!

This was just absolutely terrific artpiece to see from you on 8/8! I really love the way you are using the hightlights being much brighter when it's affecting the hair and the shaping of their silhouettes, it really does makes this feel so much more like a living and (semi-) realistic world when it comes to the light interacting with the environment! Plus, seeing thise two together is just so flipping amazing to seeing some more wholesome interactions together between the two(outside of Rai being prey, of course)! You're showing massive potential as an artist and I'm super hecking excited to seeing you develop in the future! Keep doing great and have a Merry Vore Day!
