My Skunks are Becoming Ringtails
by SupersuMC
My skunks that were once dogs and a friend are now becoming ringtails.
Their tails thin out and they're losing some weight as their bassarisk instincts kick in.
A miner's cat, it is said, is great for mousing at night.
And as these babisuris take form,
I can't help but squeal in delight.
Their tails turn banded, like a raccoon's, like a typical procyonid.
Their coats turn various shades from tan to black and even grizzled.
A buff-white mask forms in rings
Around big, adorable eyes.
A fox-like face on a cat-like body,
And feet that climb like a squirrel's.
Imagine my surprise when they began to fight in a gigantic furry whirl!
I tried to stop their fighting, and grabbed the closest one that I did see.
But then it screamed and sprayed a musky liquid onto me.
I knew what was coming, I had no choice,
As I accepted the creature within.
And now I'm Bassariscus astutus myself.
I consider this a win!
My Skunks are Turning into Ringtails
Part two of a trilogy inspired by old aging dogs that have since passed away.
