I think Yu can not truly understand but they do have a point as well. Moira can't keep this up forever. something is bound to slip. someone is bound to find out about her actual nature outside of pokemon. It would be hard to come out with it. but she will have to find some people she can trust to do so.

Better for it to be under her chosen circumstances as well. Like if she fully slipped while visiting family, they might think this Zoroark did something to her and has been pretending to be her this whole time. Easier to prove yourself before you have to prove what you aren't.

Exactly. Her immediate family would probably be the best first reveals. but building the nerves up to revealing such information is.... yea..

This is so incredibly well done. I can see this as an allegory for many things, which I think shows the quality of the writing and emotion shown. Really well done.

On an unrelated note, would Moira be able to disguise their form as other Pokemon if they wanted to? I know we saw H disguise as other pokemon at a few points, I wonder if it would be the same for Moira.

yup! if she wanted to Moira could disguise herself as other Pokemon. shes better at human shaped ones cause that's what feels the most normal to her but other Pokemon shapes are doable.

i just found this series yesterday and I loved it. read the whole thing in one sitting. I really hope you continue the series at some point especially since there are thousands of ways it can go to lead up to that inevitable reveal.

edit: Also just wanted to add I'm not sure if its intentional or not but her struggle really parallels my experience as a trans women. Staying in the closet forever will just keep doing mental damage until you break but it feels like coming out would be just as impossible.

A random question:
With her illusion she is conjuring clothes on her, while in reality she as naked as a regular zoroark.
So did it ended up feeling natural for her or she kinda tried being dressed at first before stoping for some reason ?

Because if you want to cling to your humanity being naked like a wild beast surely doesn't help.

Once she evolved into a Zoroark ( and thus could actually fit human clothes) she did try to go back to wearing them but found the sensation of fur trapped under fabric really intolerable. it made her actually worse at holding her illusion because she was distracted by the feeling of her fur being constantly rubbed the wrong way. She has a dresser full of clothes that she no longer wears but cant bring herself to get rid of..

And I can imagine H belited her along the way for that haha. "you're making yourself uncomfortable and can't focus on your illusion, stop that, you don't need theses human things on you"

Honnestly that's the smart choice, she should had some with her. Why ? I guess since her life changing event she's more secretive but her family do still visit her, it would be weird to realize there is apparently no clothings left in her possession except the ones she is ""wearing"" right now.
