Most of the smut I post is not canon.
This one's true.
It takes place about three adventures after Fekkri met Arvie.
It might be a little slow; I wanna get it right, and I also have other projects I'm working on.
But you're all used to that by now.

Hello there! I'm surprised it's taken me so long to discover this comic, given that I followed your previous work, Lucid Puppets, with great enthusiasm. And, honestly, the lack of meaningful interaction with this first page at least is borderline criminal. Figure I should do something about that.
I'd like to start by noting how incredibly atmospheric this is. You've got layers upon layers of background here, all just to emphasize the vibrant city in the background. This city feels alive and lived in, just from how you've chosen to lovingly depict it. The warm lights against the cool darkness and the silver-white moon are particularly effective. I want to visit this place, walk on that dock, see the lighthouse and the lapping waves, and listen to the creaks and groans of the ships in the port.
On a narrative note, I love the idea of Fekkri just breaking into his own home every night. It's ludicrously silly, but also says something about him that he'd rather do that than actually get the lock or key replaced. As someone who frequently jury-rigs solutions to things rather than actually reach out to get things fixed the right way, this speaks to me.
Regarding the music you've chosen for this piece, first of all, thank you for introducing me to this deeply melancholy little piece. It speaks volumes about where Fekkri is at this place and time. I get the sense that, as lovingly as this city has been depicted here, it isn't home. And it isn't the fault of the locale that it can't be home. Home isn't anywhere. Home doesn't exist. And this place on the docks, it's just a place to be.
Special mention to 'bruise-colored skies'. I've never heard a more poignant or poetic way to describe the experience of the sky just before dark.
All told, this is a strong, funny, and somewhat haunting opening to a story arc you've got going here. You're going to make me cry, aren't you?

Hey Fek, I just found your comic today and I must say: you are an absolute genius!
I read the whole comic but thought it is best to give the aprreciation here. It is soooo well made! I love the dialoge, the atmosphere, your texts underneath each panel... and of course the drawings themselves!
Looking forward to the rest of the story ❤️
