A lot of my focus on miniatures has been very natural world, house/building, or kind of fantasy themed, but I dove into sci-fi for this one. I made this as a birthday gift for 
tree-san last year. I wanted something that wouldn't feel out of place in the Star Wars universe without directly copying anything. This involved a ton of experimentation, scavenged broken electronics and computer parts, priming and painting and re-painting, and just trying to figure out how to capture that kitbash feel. And of course I had to build a little droid friend to go with it too. This was definitely a more difficult project for me, because my brain is not super mechanically inclined, but I do want to make more sci-fi minis at some point.
