Despite the clouds which had plagued the skies all day, the setting of the sun saw their scattering and the unveiling of the beautiful firmament, aurora-touched and star-spattered. Beneath the backdrop of this sky two lovers frolicked upon a field, blessedly snow free in the last gasp of the fall night. Adversity and the weight of worldly problems forgotten the pair could simply indulge in their bond, in their company, and be truly free, however briefly. Trotting turned to running, turned to chasing, turned to a sudden pounce and a rolling, wrestling tumble in the grass until, all at once, he straddled her. The sky reflected in her eyes and on her scales as she leaned up to him. Heart aflutter, his muzzle met hers for a nuzzle, and an affectionate lick. Then another. Soon, a kiss. Then later, beneath the stars, perhaps something more, as they watched the heavens, and each other, lost in their eyes, their words, the beautiful sky above, and their love. Come what may, and come what had, they'd be beside each other. They promised each other as much.

A very, very long in coming piece from  Nattraseri depicting a tender moment between my mate,  valiamoonseer and I on a lovely night beneath the stars. We've had each others' backs for a long time now, and even with the ups and down and bumps along the way we've been made stronger by what we've faced together. Strength, however, isn't everything, and sometimes one must take a moment to be vulnerable, to be at ease, to be at peace. This captures such a moment very well, and I cannot thank Nat enough for their work on it. Also, Valia, I love you a bunch, if I don't say it enough ^.=.^
