first one of these in a while.
i know he learns to become less of a speciesist turd by the end of the book he comes from, and he's not a villain exactly, but i feel like chumvi never grows too much as a person and remains Kind Of An Asshole his whole life. sure, he survived Scar's reign (not an easy task for a boy unrelated to the king), but it didn't teach him to be kind. it just taught him what suffering is.
